This was such a delightful romp! I really enjoyed the look of it all, especially the addition of 2D for the gun. Also seriously appreciated you putting lines one the walls because it gave me a much better sense of where I was spatially, which can be tough given the graphical/color limitations. Splendid game!
As someone who doesn't really love FPS games, I really enjoyed myself playing this game. The movement has a really nice feel to it, and it felt the perfect amount of challenging. Great job!
I really dig this.
Love the Wolfenstein 3D feeling and the overall atmosphere.
Thank you!
Great one. There isn't much to say about it, It was nice, there was no glaring flaw.
Good stuff!
Thank you!
Loved the game. It's something different in this jam, while still adhearing to the restrictions. I would make the crosshair dynamic or two color, so you can see it all the time. Also I get, why you have gone for the numpad, but some people don't have it. I luckily do.
That looked fantastic! And the pixel art was so great! I loved the alien death animation. All the art was very clear but the crosshair, you should probably outline it, just like the gun to make it visible when aiming theenemies. I guess you know it by now, but numpad is really limiting! I use a tenkeyless keyboard as well but I grabbed another keyboard to test your game, it was the least I could do since you took the time try my game! Congrats! :D
Wow thank you so much for changing keyboards just to try my game! I'm flattered! Yes, I didn't realize that many people don't have numpads! I've learned so much through this jam, and avoiding the numpad for controls is a big one. Its something I won't forget now haha. XD
3D game in 84x48x1bit color can actually be done. Cheers for that!
On the other hand, it's pretty hard to distinguish what is actually happening. But the game was decent fun
Thank you! My IRL friend recommended putting a border around the enemies, and people on here have recommended making the crosshair lighter as well. All changes I'll make after the voting period. Thank you for trying my game!
This looks and plays really well. This was super cool, and you nailed the 3d effect
Neat game that handles 3D with such limitations surprisingly well! It is a bit hard to see the crosshair and enemies, though, which is of course tricky when working with such a low resolution. But I have to admit that you did a better job than I was expecting from a 3D game in this jam so well done!
Nice classic take, felt the the turning could have been quicker and the reticle more visible, but nicely done.
Wow this feels really smooth, especially the gun bobbing/shooting animations. Also really appreciate how wall/door design makes it easy to navigate. Had a lot of fun playing this!
Nice game with responsive and intuitive controls, and its fun to play. I like the creepy enemies too. This is like the Nokia doom.
Awesome game, I love how smooth it controls.
Thank you!
Loved the game! reminded me times when I was playing wolfestein 3d. ( I saw some lighter green pixels, maybe it would be cool to take a look at this for the jam.) i too loved the pistol animation! congratulations.
Thank you! Yes those off-green pixels were something I was trying to get rid of, but in the end I ran out of time haha. Some of the other 3d submissions use a special shader to do the effect, which looks really really good so I will have to learn how to do that for next year. I just want to say I love your game for the jam, and your other game "Outside" is also an absolute blast.
Appreciate that!
Wow! I am always extremely impressed to see 3D with graphics like these.
Only having experience with making 2D games, I can barely begin to understand how those character models and rooms are created to maintain that level of visual coherence. Very well done!
Hi! Yes I didn't have any experience making 3D games before to be honest. I followed the tutorials here:
The basics are from a youtuber named Miziziziz:
How to make a Doom clone in Godot in 13 minutes - YouTube
How to make Wolfenstein 3D style levels in Godot - YouTube
For the pixelated effect I used a tutorial by TheBuffED:
How to Create a Simple 3D Pixelated Effect in Godot without Shaders - YouTube
Using these tutorials and others found on google, I was able to complete it before the time was up!
Seriously, it's bloody fun!
It's incredebly good for a FPS on a Nokia! And even if it doesn't looks easy to play, it become really easy to understand the controls.
The shooting really felt like the first Doom, it's polished, there is this surprise of enemies incoming, it's great. Even more, it's very very good!
If you like Doom, you should definitly play this game
(and now I need my daily dose of Doom 2016)
game was great. for your first game jam you did amazing. although i have teeny tiny suggestion. i think it was better if the crosshair color was light green instead of dark green, since most of the objects it points at (specially with the normal enemies) are dark green and most of the time i couldn't see the crosshair.
Thank you! Ah yeah you're right, the crosshair should be the lighter green. I'll change it after the jam is over as I don't think we're supposed to change stuff unless its game breaking during the voting stage?
Really nice game!! I love how you managed to make the 3D readable, which is very hard to do for jams like these! The only issue I can think of is the control scheme-- While it is natural and fluid for most computers some people won't be able to play the game because not all computers have numpads- Other than that though this game is awesome!
Ahhh yeah. My wife said the same thing after I submitted it. I'll add controls for only letter keys after the jam! Thanks for the advice! XD
That was really cool... and immersive! I love the control scheme and challenge, felt very natural and polished. And the final boss was frightening lol!
I just wish I didn't need to backtrack for the health packs tho.
Nice game!
(Btw... is that the gun from Miziziziz? :D)
Thank you! Yes I edited the sprites heavily but used them as a guide. For others who have not seen the videos, Miziziziz makes really great tutorials that can be found here:

I didn't want to call you out.. it just felt familiar :D
Oh no, didn't feel called out. Just wanted to share some great resources! XD
