Excellent work! The world feels bigger than what we see here, which is impressive given the length. I have to echo other commenters here: I'd love to see more of this in future jams.
Thank you for the feedback! I'm planning to revisit the characters and world setting for the next Jam!
A very well-written and engaging straightforward battle scene.
Thank you!
I do love a good siege. the story and descriptions were both excellent, and I really like your mood board too. assuming this is based on tales from your tabletop?
Thanks so much! While the siege itself isn't directly based on a tabletop scenario, the characters of Baldwin and Goregut are directly inspired by some of the miniatures in my collection. I was in the final stages of painting Goregut (a "Destroyer Pig" for Relic Blade) when I heard about the OPR Writing Jam, so he was my initial inspiration. I might throw the siege scenario at my D&D group though!
Overall great flow and good focus on two enemy combatants despite the battlefield nature, would look forward to a continuation to this and expansion on the first two days in future Jams.
Thank you! That's a great idea, and I would love to expand on this story for future Jams.
Loved this, I appreciate the tactical use of explosives. Made the reversal of fortune more satisfying. The ending line was fun as well. I'll be looking for your submission next jam.
Thank you! I really appreciate that.
A really good jaunt. Especially liked the ending merely being the beginning of their epic showdown leaving the reader to imagine what happens next. Bravo.
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback!
I love how vivid your descriptions were. Made me realize I gotta be more in depth with my stuff.
Thanks so much!
