Description
Genre of soundtrack :
narrative and orchestral fantasy.
Inspiration :
Spiritfarer, Hollow Knight, The Witcher, Mickael Torke, Ryuchi Sakamoto, Jeremy Soul.
DAW : Studio One 5
Story of game :
Kya, a twelve year-old girl, possesses a unique and mysterious gift: she can travel through the memories of the living and the dead. This exceptional gift was passed down to her by her mother Malika, but at a tragic cost: her lost her life giving birth to her.
Since that day, Kya lives with this strange and fascinating power, but also with the weight of her mother's sacrifice. One day, she decides to embark on a quest to uncover her origins and discover the secrets behind her gift. To do so, she must follow in her mother's footsteps and reach her tomb, located in the legendary Golden Forest.
Kya knows this journey will be no easy feat. The Golden Forest is an enchanting but dangerous place, where every step can be fraught with peril. Along the way, she will encounter characters as varied as they are intriguing: unexpected allies, guardians of ancient secrets, and wandering spirits seeking peace.
Despite the challenges and dangers that lie ahead, Kya moves forward with determination. Each encounter is a lesson, each obstacle a trial to overcome. She must draw from her memories, and those of others, to find the strength to continue and unravel the mysteries of her gift. Her journey is as much a quest for truth as it is a path to maturity.
Through this epic journey, Kya not only discovers the true nature of her power but also the hidden story of her mother and the reason she was given this gift. Gradually, she understands that her destiny is intertwined with that of many others, and that her adventure might just change their world forever.
Message from the artist
I hope you'll join Kya on her quest to discover her origins and the secrets of her gift of memories.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
The bubbles in the image made me think of the theme of memories and their emotional power over mankind.
I choose to use a voice to represent Kya and his quest.
The flute represents the spiritual side of its power.
The Dorian mode is chosen to correspond to the esoteric side of the game's theme. It is also close to the pentatonic mode found in Asian culture, so it echoes the image of the theme.

Really excellent score in every way. The odd time signature in Bear's Spirit adds an interesting twist
Thanks a lot dude !
I would have liked to compose another track in 7/8, but I don't have time :3
This was just amazing.
my favorite was probably the gift of memories, just based off of the initial impression I got from it, and I love how the same voices were used throughout, it made the tracks feel more connected
Great work!
Thanks for taking the time to listen! :)
So, time for the best orchestral compositions of this jam...
The Gift Of Memories (Main Theme) - god... this singing is so charming...
The Gift of Memories - those tapping drums and bells (They're bells, right?) throughout the track make it cool!
The Old Man - Ooooh... That sounds really cute))
Mommy's Memories (The End) - Ah... this singing finished me off...
Your soundtrack is truly magical! You can immediately see that he is a professional in orchestral music. This greatly inspires me to take up orchestral music better! Thank you!
P.S. I really enjoyed Kya's story.
I'm not a orchestral professional ahah I still have to learn a lot in there.
But I'm really touched that you liked my music. Thank you !
Captivating tracks. The first track immediately grabbed my attention and didn't let go. My favorite track is "The Old Man" because of its quirky woodwinds and violin pizzicato.
Oh thanks you its so minimalsitic music and I was try to create a nice atmosphere here !
Magnificent orchestration and Hollywood sound!
Love the elaborated story, clean mix, the variety and the sound of instruments and the way they ideally complement each other. Adore each track being unique and still within the chosen style and story.
Sending you my standing ovation :)
Thank you for notifying the quality of my mix, I spent a lot of time on it and I'm still not convinced of certain things. Fatigue took its toll too haha.
Thank you anyway :)
I was absolutely sure I reviewed your work... that's weird.
In any case, masterpiece. Merci, c'était génial! Dans le top de toute la jam!
Thanks a lot Dude :)
WOW! Really great writing! Fantastic orchestration! Everything sounds super professional! Really great work!
Thanks a lot !<3
Your work is absolutely breathtaking!! Every track left me stunned speechless at how polished and catchy they are. Amazing work~
Your comment is very touching, thank you!
Really impressed by this orchestration! Definitely one of the top contenders in terms of mixing and arrangement, I can notice very intricate orchestral programming techniques involved in each creation! Each arrangement is in a class of it's own.
Regarding the inspirations: I love the approach you took in the theme, think it works very well with your game narrative and the modal choices you made. It fits really well with the instrumentation choices you took and has a very polished structure.
Very great entry, looking forward to seeing more.
Your comment lists everything I've been working on for 1 year now, thank you for noticing.
Thank you for taking the time to listen <3
Only one thing to say: Amazing orchestration!
Only one thing to say : Thanks you !
This is some top notch orchestration, really scratches the fantasy itch. Super neat stuff, almost reminds me of the Sunless Skies soundtrack has a similar ethereal folk/fantasy vibe but a bit more steampunk. The call and response in Mommy's Memories is great, and again your orchestration and composition is amazing! Great work!
I listen Sunless Skies Soundtrack and I am honored that you compare me to this magnificent soundtrack.
Thanks You dude!
You know, nearly every day I think about my musical journey, how much I've learned and grown since picking up a guitar 15 years ago, and I think, "huh, I've got a pretty good handle on this music thing now."
Then I run across stuff like this beautiful submission, and I'm reminded that I have a LOOOONG way to go yet.
Incredible work my friend!
You know I do my best to evolve, I started music almost 5 years ago, and every day I strive to learn and train. There is always something to learn in this profession. You have to be curious and hardworking and I love that!
I learned a lot in this challenge and your comments are so pleasant to read, I thank you all as much as you are <3
Music it's a wonderful world.
I'm thrilled. Truly. This is one of the most beautiful things I've heard in a long time. I'm amazed that such beautiful music can be made entirely digitally.
Waw thanks a lot, I do my best my friends !
AAAA this is so good!!
AAAA Thaaaanks
This is it. This is the one. I'm kind of at a loss for words, the beauty and artistry on display are phenomenal, with incredible composition, orchestration, and production. I feel truly immersed in the world you've created when I listen, and it inspires me to strive for such potent emotion and quality in my music. Just like rahsaan.lacey, this is my front-runner for the jam. Incredible job! :D
Thanks a lot.
Your comment really touched me when I read it.
I'm so happy that I was able to touch people emotionally with my music.
This is the first time I have practiced this type of composition.
I'm so happy to I never imagined I would get so much feedback.
(sorry for my english I'm realy bad.)
The vocals, the orchestration, the production value, the whole package makes this my personal frontrunner. Your use of 13/8 in The Bear's Spirit was smooth and felt natural. All the pieces were short, sweet and to the point. You crushed it!
Thanks for taking the time to listen.
As I told you on discor it's from 11/8 ahah.
Wow! I was just recently listening to the Ori soundtracks. Reminds me a lot of that. Beautiful vocals and instrumentation.
All in all, pretty packed with emotion. Nice cover art too.
I don't know the OST of Ori but it touches me, thank you!
Genuinely fantastic mix of tracks. Production quality is great, choice of instrumentation and articulation is varied yet cohesive and the compositions as a whole have a lot of substance. A lot of subtle melodies lying in the background of each track, too. Great work!
Thanks for noticing the counter melodies.
Your comment warms my heart
Woah super qualité Monsang! ^^
Belle proposition ! Bravo :)
Overall, it's truly magnificent. I was transported by the atmosphere. I love the vocals in The Old Man.
(C'est magnifique, bravo !)
Pour moi, la 2 et la 3 sont les plus faibles en terme de composition, je n'aurais pas penser que Old Man plaise ahah.merci :)
