Description
I tried to do something sci-fi, so it is kind of electronic music.
So the game is about a 13th grandson of Space King no.211, who returns to his planet (his world) to free his people from over a 1000 years of enslavement by aliens in alliance with some of the people and reclaim his throne.
The game itself I guess is a first person shooter like Doom, but maybe a little less brutal.

(the main hero, the grandson is over 100 years old)

Name of the game is Betrayed by My World.

First composition (Arrival Home) could be for a moment/scene when the grandson of the king comes back to his planet. Like a huge ship enters the planet, breaks down buildings on the way and etc.

Second composition (Burn Your Way Through) could be for some action in the game like shooting enemies, destroying buildings and stuff. (it could be a loop between 0:05 and 0:52)

Third composition (Betrayal) could be for an end of the game or for a plot twist when he actually frees his people, but they curse him for it, claiming that they had a peaceful life and everything, despite the fact that they actually were slaves and had no rights (and maybe they kill him?). Also it could be a plot twist that the very conquering happened because the Space King no.211 allowed it to happen.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
So it is about the mains hero world, his planet, as the game goes further it gives some information about the world and who the people really are, like maybe it will be telling a story how cruel these people were, maybe they enslaved people themselves and etc

Sci-Fi electronics, mixed with madness and... chorus?! Cool!

I loved the concept and the music!!!

I think you have achieved a very original sci-fi sound. And that is not normally very explored with a combination of sounds like you did.

Betrayal is my favorite one.I really liked the dramatic contrast of this track. The use of a chorus was a great decision.

GREAT WORK!!!

The title was wild, and the concept of a sci-fi revenge take of the theme is crazy. I love it.

The little chiptune flair in the tracks are a great addition like the bitcrushed drums in the Arrival home, it's a treat to listen to the noise alone. The soundtrack feels like its made for a game made in the early 2000s.

I also like the narrative you put in there with the crazy premise you went with, I would like to hear more of your story going forward.

Congratulations on your work!! I really liked it, especially "Burn Your Way Through"

Oh this is some cool chiptune grooving. The background synth used in the first one has an ominous kind of vibe to it with how much it wavers and how gritty it is. Undermines the mood which is kind of cool - adds this other layer to it, making it a little ambiguous. The crushed percussion is nice too, filled with that 8-bit goodness and packing a punch.

Burn Your Way Through has some funk to it - the arpeggio melody is great and the snappy drums go hard in this. Love the progression and the occasional dropped beats. I think this may be my favorite of the bunch - it has some sass to it. Could hear this being used a ton of different games from the 8-bit era, honestly.

Finally, Betrayal is befitting of its' name. Reminds me of an old-school choir on a soundchip. It's laden with with this sombre atmosphere and the progression feels almost gospel at points, which only sells that choir feeling all the more. It's hefty and apt for the feelings its trying to invoke.

All in all, good job - nice and varied tracks, well arranged and produced. Best of luck!

The second song has a great punch. While not being a great fan of chiptunes, I really enjoyed this! :)

This is a fun OST, it's unique and fits the sci-fi theme you described. It's kind of eerie and weird in a really good way. I like the drum sounds you used a lot, good job!

VERY nice and unique submission! Others have said what I was thinking already, but it bears repeating. Your mix of chiptune, signal degradation sounds and modern electronic sounds is amazing! Really well done and successful on all fronts.

A little more balance in the low end and bringing that out more would take this to the next level. "Arrival Home" is my favorite of the bunch, but some killer bass in "Burn Your Way Through" would blow the doors off this thing.

Nice work!

Arrival Home: The darkness and energy of this track, gives me first person Doom-esque vibes for sure! I like the image of a big ship knocking down buildings which sets up the basis for conflict between the grandson and the citizens of his world. The sci-fi elements ring through clearly and color this with a nice otherworldly vibe.

Burn Your Way Through: The fast choppy feeling of this track with the break beat underneath makes this a really energetic track that is perfect for a shooting game. I would be pumped up to explore the town and knock down anyone in my path!

Betrayal: The dark space chorus packs a lot of emotion behind it and I think fits the conflict and emotions of betrayal really well. I like the build as the chords get higher and higher, heightening the emotion. Nice!

Overall: Your three tracks feel cohesive and stick really nicely to the dark sci-fi theme while still giving a variety of emotions to help us experience the breadth of the game’s story. Well done and thank you for sharing!

I liked the second track quite a bit it reminded me of crypt of the necrodancer

mmm... soo crunchy... yummy....

Well done, I was pleased to listen to your submission! Just "Betrayal" left me wanting for a more percussive and clear moment somewhere in the track (to oppose to the reverbered ambiance you've created!)

I can hear the Doom vibe in 8-bit ❤ I've already seen someone mention the balancing, so I don't know what to add. Great work! ❤

The type of 8-bit signal degradation is definitely unique, but be careful not to overdo it on the entire mix. There's a lot of space in the HF, which I like, but the low frequencies lose some punch when they're too distorted. The productions are very original and well-crafted, with many layers that work well. If you added some clean subs (even without completely removing the distorted ones), I think the result would be much more powerful!

Thanks! You are totally right. I kind of got a feeling that some is not right with the bass part. At first I though maybe I should have just make it quieter, but you are right, it was distorted by downsampling + I added some saturation on top of it. And also I did sidechaining to bass part from drums lows. So the bass totally messed up. I actually didn't understand it, thanks for pointing it out.

Submitted(+1)

of course, I'm happy to help you! if you want some advice, a bit of downsampling on the lows works in a creative way, but add a layer of pure sine wave and you'll see that you'll hear the punch!

Some balancing issues but overall interesting! Liking what you submitted!

Super interesting one, you did like 8 bit sounds mixed with some modern electronics. Only thing to fix is your low end, you gots lots of high end and some mid but some bass or percussive element in the bass would help so much ! Good job !

This is CRUNCHY! Love the synths you've chosen here and your mixing and layering are awesome. The cyberpunk atmosphere is super strong with all three of these and paint an excellent picture of your vision for the scifi planet. I could see this for a classic Doom like 100%, especially in like a 2D-HD retropixel style. I would love to hear more and to hear some of these tracks continue to develop - that second one ends so early especially, I'm waiting for even more of a beat to drop!

Really like your theme interpretation. My favorite track is Burn Your Way Through, it has a great pace and does a lot of things correctly. It's also refreshing to hear some electronic in the submission. Nice work!
