Description
I composed the soundtrack inspired by both the image and the text. The game I imagined scoring could be a metroidvania but without combat phases. It could be a virtual experience dedicated to appreciating the plot or the game’s setting (all colored in the tones of the image, as if it were a wheat field where aquatic animals and soap bubbles wander), trying to uncover the secrets of an unknown world. This world could represent the inner world of the girl seen in the image, who is trying to reconnect with a long-forgotten figure. Thanks to the image, I envisioned platform sections on the bubbles and interactive scenes with aquatic animals suspended in the air as if they were flying.
With the music, I wanted to represent the beginning of the game (Start), where the player starts walking and learning the controls, arriving in a suggestive and wonderful place with a platform part (Arise), a part where the player comes into contact with someone (or something) that reveals more about their origins or some kind of secret (perhaps connected to the human figure formed by a bubble in the image), which always concludes with a platform part (Rebirth), and finally a more challenging platform part (Ingame).
As a DAW, I used Reaper. Regarding the instruments, I used synths and pads as harmonic background and bass, some vocals recorded by me, as well as a clarinet that I modified afterward. I also used a violin, both pizzicato and long (VST), Asian bells, and bongos (VST).

There is some lovely writing here. The combination of orchestral and instrumental textures work nicely, and the sense of cohesiveness across the OST is very strong. Some very effective use of the compositional material, great work :)

Heh... interesting underwater ambient)

Echoes of Bubbles is My favorite. I like him because of his little dynamism and... playfulness?

Thanks!

I really liked the bassline present in Ingame. It felt like a minigame theme which I liked a lot!

Great use of your leitmotif across the tracks. Everything is well glued together and sounds really good!

Love the ambience, it really does capture the picture well! I'd really like to play the game for this music, it feels like it would be beautiful.

Start: The synth is really soft and soothing and the gentle strings really help elevated the ambience. I really like the simple harmonic vamp.

Arise: Those are excellent recordings! Very nicely sung and recorded! Your percussion sounds like bubbles blooping which is a cool effect.

Rebirth: I love the solo violin - it seems to meander but with a sense of direction. It also has a really nice lyrical quality to it. This is my favorite of your tracks!

Ingame: Ooooh, the ambience has a little more energy to it now with the bass groove! It keeps the same flavor as the rest of the OST, but I think it’s nice that you have a different variation in this track.

Overall: Your ambient style is very soothing and your choice of instruments worked together very well. Your vocals were phenomenal and added freshness to the OST. Well done and thank you for sharing!

This was spot on with the theme! I'd definitely want music like this on a game. The ambience you created was genius level!

Great instrumentation!

WOW this was really pretty music, you did awesome with this submission! Whatever synth or noise you used at the beginning of Arise really tickled my brain but like in a good way.

Developer

thank you so much! At the beginning of Arise i record vocals and a clarinet (it doesn’t seem because i put lots of fx on it)

The bubbly theme you were trying to achieve was executed well! My favorite track is Rebirth. Keep it up!

Nice sound design choices, you nailed an ambient/ethereal take to the prompt and picture. Enjoyable listen all around.

Really atmospheric. I like it!

This is so good :0

Love the atmosphere you were able to create. Certain parts sort of remind me of the Sable OST (which is a huge plus lol).

Awesome work!!

I love the use of panning in this and can definitely see this representing the picture theme very well with the instrumental choices you made!

Also the vocals in Arise are wonderfully accompanied in such a soft motion.

Alongside that, the distance given to the percussion is so satisfying :D

Arise and In game are my favorite but they are all really nice!
