Description
The soundtrack spams from music that have a more classical feeling to jazz and middle eastern music. When composing, I thought about representing a RPG game, with its own build of characters and locations.
One or Two Remembrances represents Nero with a feeling of nostalgia, remembering his childhood and the once thriving kingdom of Gralland.
The Royal House of Gralland plays when the main character (Nero) is at the presence of the king to be declared a knight.
Recurrent Waltz at the Castle plays when the king and the nobles prepare for a dance after the ceremony of the knights.
Diva's Lament represents the main character's mom, saddened by her son leaving her to go into an adventure.
Lily's Coffee Shop is a point of rest for Nero, where he can replenish his health and eat.
A Night at the Oasis plays when Nero is at the Bardaj Oasis, a thriving point of trade.
A Secret Unfolds represents the feelings of the Nero while being revealed a great secret.
Last Stand in a Hopeless Battle represents the last point of the game, in which Nero fights a formidable leader, who controls all the continent secretly.
Everything was composed and produced in Ableton Live 12.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
The songs fit the theme "inside my world" by showing both the world within - with characters' feelings and emotions (the tracks Diva's Lament and One or Two Remembrances, for example) - and without - with songs from all the continent of Ethia. (the tracks A Night at the Oasis and The Royal House of Gralland, e.g.)

Recurrent Waltz At The Castle - Lol... why did I get the atmosphere of Ghosts 'n Goblins?)

The Royal House Of Holland - I like some retroness in the sound of this track. It's like I'm listening to an old recording from a royal concert!

A Secret Unfolds IS A TIME OF MELODIC MADNESS!!!1!

A Night At The Oasis Is Good... I love this percussion! (One of my favorite tracks at the moment, huh)

Diva's Lament - It sounds as if I had entered someone else's territory, where they aggressively sing at me...

One or Two Remembrances- A beautiful piano duet with strings? Cool!

Last Stand In A Hopeless Battle - BATTLE TIME! (Battles that sound like I'm fighting in a castle, huh). I love that little break in the middle, followed by the CHORUS

Lilly's Coffee Shop - Top 10 most unusual ways to complete the soundtrack of a heroic game

Thank you for an exciting time!

Lol, happy to see you were so excited about my songs! Thank you so much for listening to all of them and taking your time to comment here, really made my day!

A night at the Oasis was my favorite one. It really nailed the desert vibe with percussion. Felt like I was watching Aladdin

Thank you so much! Happy to know I presented the vibe I imagined

This is a really impressive entry with a lot of compositionally rich tracks. People are right about velocity, though you can think about that compositionally in terms of  dynamics. Everything sounds forte and is fatiguing for the listener, which is unfortunate because the compositions are quite beautiful. The intricate harpsichord and violin flourishes on The Royal House of Gralland were especially excellent. Another thing I would suggest for the future is adding  interest by depending less on repeating ostinatos as the backbone of the song. People have mentioned mixing though haven't given too many specifics. Here's one: the low end is too high on some tracks. In Lily's Coffee Shop, for instance, which is a delightful respite from the heavy epic fantasy sounds (Last Stand in a Hopeless  Battle was  SO epic!), the bass is dominating most sounds. I've given a lot of feedback because I really admire the artistry and sweat here and hope to hear more, even better  work in the future.  Thanks for making and sharing!

Thank you so much for your feedback and guidance. I took a mixing course and now I understand this process a lot more, so hopefully my next songs will sound better! And thank you for telling me about the ostinatos, I'll be more careful next time. Happy to know you liked my songs!

I think this project has a solid direction, though I would like to point out that the piano sounds like there hasn't been velocity changes and is very locked to the gridlines. I would advise some velocity variations as well as some shifting of the notes to make it sound less static. Best of wishes!

Thank you! Will look into that

Amazing list of tracks! You captured the soul of a fantasy RPG game perfectly. The melody in A Secret Unfolds is mesmerizing and also my personal favorite. Great work and excited to hear more of your stuff!

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad to hear you are interested

Some pretty great tracks that capture the feeling and themes that each track attempts to convey really well! I don't really want to repeat what others have already stated, but I can definitely see some possible improvements in the mixing (although I completely understand because mixing is also my weakness lol). Aside from that minor critique tho, I really like the composition and choice of instruments. You did a great job all around!

Overall just some amazing work in general! You did a great job capturing the different emotions and themes you wanted to go for and I applaud you for that! If I had to choose a favorite track, it'd probably be "Last Stand In A Hopeless Battle," but that's really just because of my love for boss battle themes and orchestral music in general lol.

That's all I have to say really, have a great day!

Developer

Thank you! Actively studying mixing right now, hope to solve that problem soon lol. I'm glad to hear you liked the boss music, as it was my favorite too!

Very great writing for each of the different vibes! Especially love the Baroque, Egyptian, and coffee shop is very cozy :)

Happy to know you liked it, thank you!

Great variety in the tracks! Loved all the different moods ^^

As Pyoveli said, the mix is on the weaker side and this is the first thing you should focus on! I think you will benefit from a bit of dynamic adjustment to get more tension in your tracks.

Developer

Thank you so much! And yes, working on mixing lol

The composition is on point : you have ideas, beautiful ideas ! The mix is a little fragile, and your sounds are quite "MIDI", but keep going, you are on the path to success !

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, nice to hear that it is on point!
Mixing really is my weak point for now, but it's something that I'll look forward to fix! And I noticed it sound quite midi, I'll look into it.
Also, really love your style! You have an absolute gorgeous way of composing, Machine Monster is definitely a hit!

A varied selection of such diverse styles and culturally driven pieces. Props to you for really exploring in that regard, I feel as though many others, myself included, don't have the chops for that kind of composing.

Great selection all in all, each track was well thought out and progressed nicely. I think Lily's Coffee Shop is my favorite of the bunch - jazz always find a way into becoming a total ear-worm.  Best of luck!

Developer

Thank you so much! I also liked Lily's Coffee a bunch, but I wasn't very confident in it, so nice to hear that you liked!
I also listened to Discovery and it's very gorgeous. You made a enviable arrangement and the sfx you used was the cherry on top, congratulations!
