The game is really great. I loved the art and music. The concept is also clever. My only complaint that the arrow indicator would not work for me when I am at the bottom of the map and a meteorite comes from the top to hit me. It did not cause me to lose but it was a bit annoying. But overall great game!
Absolutely lovely!
My only point of complaint is how hard it is to actually "lose" after some time and is pretty strange for an arcade game you know, the gameplay gets quite long and loses it's meaning of "arcade" but as a game itself is really good.
Ha-ha, agree. I already thought about some "no-loosing" game mode for the future. I don't really like focusing on the hi-score as a goal.
Thank you for the feedback.
if you manage to make a game that feels a little like forager with more buildings, turrets to defend against rocks, hunger/thirst, achievements and whatnot i'd buy the hell out of this game. (if i had the money)
Love the game, the art and sounds/music are absolutely phenomenal! If you are to be working on this game in the future, I'd love to follow along and play a complete version of it with more features!
Thanks dude. Your words are encouraging to keep working on it. And almost sure - I will.
This game is unique, well made, and has lovely aesthetics/sound. Really impressed.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
This is a super interesting and polished idea. In my opinion, the controls were a little finnicky, but overall this game is very well-made.
A courtesy rate back would be much appreciated!
Hi! Thanks for playing.
> the controls were a little finnicky, but overall this game is very well-made.
Could not agree more. We found out it during the playtest. For sure, I'll remake it after the jam.
Wow this is a really clever game, i like this kind of games, i love resource management games, i saw the screenshot of the ultimate tortoise kingdom and it was like "woah", really nice game, gameplay and aesthethic lol
Thanks man. Absolutley mutually ;)
Nice game.
I have one complaint.
The turtles are useless since they can't give points and you can dodge meteors very easily, and yes I know you have to keep all of the turtles alive, but once you make a turtle spawner, It is just to hard to lose.
Besides these, nice game.
Thanks. Yep, I thought about this point, and going to motivate users other way in future updates. In fact this game can be more meditative rather than arcade.
But as for now, I didn't try to get high score with dodging only by myself, but I think it's pretty challange on the lategame. I'll try it ;)
Really quite a clever concept, paired with a great aesthetic and good music.
Moving machinations on the back of tortoises is a level of brilliance that can't be understated: it's tortoises all the way down, man.
Had a lot of fun with this, would smash empires for hatcheries again.
Great work, and good luck!
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Maaaaaaan the concept of this game is amazing! The more turtles you have the harder it gets! I loved it! :D
Thanks man.
Funny idea, maybe use mouse to select a turtle could be better than collide with it.
May you rate my game too?
Hey, thanks for comment.
I thought about it, but I wanted to keep game playable with keyboard only. Actually I have a couple ideas of better control mechanics, but had no time for testing. Will try them out after the Jam.
Nice! Gameplay's a bit simple, but the idea is cute, and the game looks really good! I can see this being a good concept for a city builder, maybe with less frequent meteorites and more diverse buildings of course.
Thanks. Yep, new mechanics to be tested soon.
The art is very nice, the music is good, and the gameplay is very interesting. I like how much time you're give to get the turtles out of the way, but the warning indicators are a bit small and easy to miss, especially since you can't see the entire screen at the same time. I think making it more obvious which "lanes" are about to get hit would help cut down on the times you feel like you get hit out of nowhere. It's also quite frustrating how difficult it is to move around when you get enough turtles. I imagine that's part of the difficulty, but it's not fun difficulty and I feel like being able to move around better would help make the game more enjoyable. Overall I quite enjoyed it. Found myself playing for quite a while trying to figure out new strategies and ways of playing. Very well done.
Thanks. 100%. Noted, and will use your thoughts soon.
This is such a cool idea! And the art is gorgeous. I wish there was an easier way to ensure you were only calling one turtle, but alas that is the life of a turtle keeper
Thank you. Control mechanic is the weakest point, just had no time to make it better. I'll continue some remaking after the jam for sure.
What a great game! great job.
Thanks
gameplay is really good! i’ve got 348 before my tortoises and i got annihilated by meteors, music is good, you can get stuck between tortoises in the edge off the map
Thanks for playing.
"you can get stuck between tortoises in the edge off the map" - I'll take a look on it. Thanks for reporting.
I think the details about the rock being used for blocking and all are very-not so obvious, but other than that, the gameplay is really amazing. I love how there's 2 concepts of dodging used, the first being the player himself has to dodge, and then secondly he has to move the tortoises so that they dodge themselves. Loved the music in the menu.
Thanks. Can you explain what this part means?
> "I think the details about the rock being used for blocking and all are very-not so obvious"
I'll try to improve it somehow.
I think it's a bug where you are displaying only the score of this run rather than the maximum score. I think you may have forgotten to sort the scores before displaying the highest score. You can check out KB's stream, a few other comments also said the same thing.
its just awesome ! rated !

Thanks. I'll take a look.
Fantastic idea! I thought I could just build walls all around my turtles and have an infinite supply but it was way too hard trying to get that to work. Maybe somebody smarter than me can figure it out. That being said the idea is super cool. It's like a tower defense on crack. I feel like if you go back to this, you should add some sort of goal the player is building up to. I'm not really a person that plays a lot of resource management games and its because usually I need to make my own goals, but I'm bad at that, so a little something to help guide the player will be great. Fantastic game!
Actually I was so focused on details, that had no time for balancing and mechanic updates.
For sure, I'll make it little more playable in the future.
Thanks for sharing your oppinion, I'll use it for future improvements.
Really breathtaking work for the 3 days it took!
Thanks :) I am kinda shocked by myself also.
