Very good use of the RPG Maker Tool.
I really liked the implementation of the temporary removed corruption and the boss fight.
Good work!
Thank you for your kind words!
You're welcome, I'm looking forward to see what you bring to future game jam, especially now that I saw you also make music.
An game made with RPG Maker! Awesome! I loved exploring the world and interacting with Gubblebock. There was a bug I've encountered in the game: after you have activated the M mark in the green bedroom, if you go left, go to another screen (instead of returning to the green bedroom), and return to the previous screen, the brown teddy bears will block your path. You will be forced to start the game from the beginning.
Other than that, nice job on the game.
Hey thanks for breaking the game for that! I'll take a look at it after the voting period :)
Absolutely LOVE Rpg Maker games, as that is the first engine I used, and I gotta hand it to you, this is some top notch stuff. Really creative, and the art was really cute! Great job!
Yessss! Thanks you!! Glad you liked the game :D
First RPG Maker game I've played this game jam. Felt really solid and fun. Keep it up.
Thank you! ^^
Cute art and story! I ran into a few movement bugs, either where I seemed to be stuck against an invisible wall, or kept moving when I wasn't pressing any buttons. But overall, this was a cute little game. Good work!
The boss fight was fun and the art is very cute.
Killing the witch was fun, this had some good ideas.
The graphics have a lot of charm. I enjoyed this!
Nice story, the art is fitting to it nicely. Liked the little details, and the relatively big map. I guess you didn't have time to implement the boss fight correctly or I missed something but the bullets didn't hit me and I got stucked in that fight. GGs overall!
Hey thank you! And yeah your right I didn't really have the time to finetune the boss fight as much(the bullets do damage but I didn't have the time to animate a hurt animation or a hp bar of some kind. And I probably should have mentioned what the player needs to interact with to hurt the witch)
Great music! Wasn't expecting a boss fight.
Thank you! Glad to have suprised you with that :)
Cool style. But some elements were difficult to identify (the blue W to shift dimension, the spots to hit the witch).
Thank you for the feedback!
I love crazy jrpg games so that bought my heart and as a guy who also tries to make game in this genre I appreciate this. For my personal tastes I would make this a little crazier but I like it anyway
Thank you I am glad you liked it!
Great game, I like the simplistic artstyle :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
cool but not the real horror
really cute! I like the central mechanic :)
Thank you! Happy to hear was pretty proud of that mechanic idea ^^
cute)
Thanks!
Nice story! I was expecting encounter with Gubblebock at the end of the game TBF, even though it turns out to be a very decent plot! Good job
Thank you! Glad you still liked the story :) The jam was a bit too short for my original story idea. So decided to hint at gubblebock not entirely being all he seems instead.
It would have been so easy for you to just use a bunch of default assets from rpg maker and call it a day but I'm really glad to see you using completely custom assets so huge props for that. Enjoyed the storyline as well
thank you! Yeah I like to practice my 2D sprites more so that I can hopefully improve it. And I am happy you enjoyed the story :)
I dig the MS Paint style art! Looks cool! Nice stuff!
Thankies! Glad it looks good
Nice cartoonish style, and as a fan of Omori I like the plot. This game really looks like you invested your soul and a lot of work in it.
But vfx on every click is a little bit overloading tho. And restart from the very beginning after being beaten by the Witch can be demoralizing
Hey thanks for your feedback! Glad you enjoyed the plot.
I'll take a look at a autosave option before the witch and do you mean with vfx the huge amount of projectiles during the fight?
Thanks in advance!
Risa
Autosave would be nice!
No, not during the combat: when I click to go anywhere there is a visual effect (some white squares erupting from where I clicked)
P.S. I click a lot when i move in games so may be that's why this feature is a little bit overloading for me
Ahh got ya that's the mobile controls forgot to turn that off. Thanks for the heads up!
