The secret in Something Rush (Game) by flycat.games is truly unexpected and I found it accidentally
The chase at the end had me stressed! I totally had to retry like 10 times before I figured out how to evade the attacks! Great game, good use of the PSX assets and art style! We used a handful of the same art packs as you, like the survival gear, trees, and cars. Overall I enjoyed the experience and I really hope your game does well in the end!
interesting game the gore enhances the experience
First off, I really loved the car scene. It's such a cool twist. Reminds me a lot of Christine. I also really liked the graphics. On a more negative side, I think that the final part with the car was a bit too complex. I died a bunch of times and that took a lot of the horror out of it. I also think that the game could've used a bit more polish on accessibility and atmosphere. It was really hard to find some of the crime scene locations. I personally would've added some kind of a marker/light or other kind of way of more clearly seeing the locations. Maybe a ! that pops up when you are near one. And I also think some environmental sounds (like a car running or a light post humming) could've added a lot.
On the whole, I think this is a cool game, with a really good premise. It just needed a bit more polish.
This was great! This was such a cool idea and really well executed. Even though I was figuring out where it was going toward the end it scared me really good! I love the visual effects on this game too, like the graininess and jitteriness of the low-poly models. Only other feedback note I really have is that I did get lost a couple times, the most notable part being finding the boot in the first level--I just repeatedly didn't notice it, but I saw your other comment, and that let me continue which is good! The other times I got a little lost weren't too crazy and eventually got through it.
Awesome job!
Realy good game! i love the psx graphics
This was one of the best games for the jam for me, and absolutely seems intentional in its hilarity and subversion of detective games! The theme is handled well in the comic foreshadowing of its vehicular nemesis, and comes off as a bit of a satire of those CSI detective games where you're standing and pondering over bits of gory evidence at crime scenes. This game had some really memorable moments - the display on the wall and the reveal of the car were a delight. The fact it has a 'boss level' to it that completely upends the expectations of the game is also a blast. Struggled a little bit with the car pathing as it was attempting to mow me down but it did get me involved in trying to dodge it. Great game, funny and memorable, perfect execution, no notes.
10/10 unintentionally hilarious. I knew the car was the suspicious secret but the way it was was completely unexpected. absolutely spectacular game
It looks like someone, like me, decided to revive the car)
Great game, I liked everything!
LOL, that got me... My favorite thing was the A-Pose Cop.
And yes, is default pose :D
I LOVE the aesthetics of this, and the audio is really nice too. Reminds me of the old RE games with the loud footsteps. I unfortunately wasn't able to figure out what to do after only finding 3 clues at the first crime scene, but it's very possible that's just a skill issue lol
Actually jump scared me from unexpectedness lol. Impressive amount of game for the time frame too.
Really cool game! The atmosphere was great and so was the horror. I loved the unique story and I definitely didn't expect the reveal. Great job! :D
