This is a really solid game the only thing I would suggest would be to have the player sprite rotate when moving backwards.

Absolutely love the style and art, big fan. Music fits really well too. Only thing is the controls as the dash is inconsistent and movement is wonky especially in the air. Animation when you finish the level is cute :)

Really enjoy the art style and the music fits well, but the dash is hard to control and this makes it frustrating. Otherwise it a really cute game and it fits the theme criteria

It was ok. does well meeting the criteria of both a platformer and in the fantasy genre (i'm assuming the player is a wizard and not just old guy with a hat , even if he doesn't use magic at any point or do anything in game to indicate he is a wizard). The art style, if a bit generic, was very well modeled and rendered. The sound design was good, except for the dash sound which get annoying after the second use. The game play was alright, however the game did have a few minor glitches. Overall, it is a good game.

I like it.

It was a bit frustrating to play it because the dash was a bit random, and you have basically no control of the character while he is in the air. That made me struggle in some of the levels.

But I liked the music a lot, the art was nice and consistent and the little animation when you finish the level was adorable :)

The concept of this game is good. I like the music and the art style are both good. I found that dashing was inconsistent when I tried to use it.

Art and music was great but the controls were a little off. Sometimes the dash would work and sometimes it wouldn't. Levels were nice and simple, it was easy to understand and play.

Great graphics and nice music. As others have said, the controls were a little iffy. I think the code checks for the dash at 2 second intervals (or something like that), and that's why the dash appears to work at different times, because it doesn't take the time you began holding Space into account.

Good job overall!

Fun idea. Controls weren't quite there as they were very inconsistent and I felt the character could have been a bit faster. Lovely graphics though

Game is good art style is nice along with graphics however the controls especially for the charge ability seem a little all over the place as i could repeat the same action 5 times in a row and the charge would initiate at different times every time. Apart from that its good though :)

Great art style! I love this game just for that reason! music was great, the character movement was the hard part for me. It was slow and hard getting use too. But great job!

This game is nice, the music fits well with the theme of the game. The character looks awesome, the animations are smooth and the level design is a definite plus.

My only issue is with the dashing ability with the character, especially with how important being able to dash is in game. Because of this progressing through the levels was a lot more difficult than it should have been.

The best advice to fix this bug (unless was intentional then in that case, fair enough) could be possibly making dash need only one input to:

a) help the game register that a dash is being inputted easier

b) allow for dashing on the ground to add extra gameplay features.

Apart from that, this was a fun game to play

I love the art style and the music, however I couldn't make it out of the first room because the control scheme was incredibly unintuitive and unyielding

Nice cute graphics, and love the music in the background, however the mechanics of the dashing/launching were a bit glitchy/buggy, to the point where it would be delayed as such and made some levels quite an annoying challenge.

Off the bat, the art style for the game is quite easy on the eyes which is exactly the design it needs. One of the cool touches I noticed was the environmental design you put into the backdrop and forefront of the game (floating bricks do b kinda epic doe). To add to this, the sound design for both the character's sound effects and the stage loop really fit with the mood and aesthetic the game seems to be trying to achieve, and manages to achieve a tone of "danger and adventure" while still keeping the light hearted tone of lil old Gizmo and his adventure to get his arms back. Also love the animations on the character, pretty cool.

Mechanics wise, I felt there were a few areas that maybe could be improved. As other people mentioned, the dash mechanic can be slightly unresponsive at times. That being said, it actually made the game a lot more difficult which frankly added to the overall fun experience. Level-based platformers are always made with difficulty in mind, and if it gets you replaying the same level to try and complete it, then it's doing its job I guess. Other than that, I think movement was good and solid (although if I had to add extra extra unnecessary critique, it'd be that the hitbox of the wizard would tend to bug out when hitting the side of blocks, but that didn't impact my gameplay experience xD )

Level design wise, I think they've been designed pretty well. You've got atleast 2 different varietys of spikes which adds a bit more difficulty in the later rounds. The blue jump pads adds another depth to gameplay and mixes up what the player is used to control wise, but does so in a really engaging way that doesn't take or destroy what the player expects from the controls. (maybe with this, introduce it later to switch up gameplay even more!) My only critique with this is that it'd be cool if there were more levels, as you have a good range of obstacles and plenty of options to use them (not that the levels in there weren't already using them well anyway).

big pog overall, nice job :)

The visuals are amazing! A tad jittery with the controls but over a great game so far!

Submitted(+2)

Great game and idea, I really like the visuals of the game paired with the music.

I did find a couple minor issues though, mainly with the dash ability. With it sometimes I would hold the space bar down for a good while and have nothing happen, leading to a death, or lightly tap it to jump normally and instead getting launched across the map. A couple times I glitched a little inside the platforms when using a jump pad to get on top, which hitting the side causing the glitch.

One small issue I have is the lack of air control after you leave the ground, needing to purely rely on momentum, which lead to certain simple area's feeling tedious.

However, other than the mechanical errors, everything else was great and I think the game has a lot of potential.

Just played it again and noticed that its running a lot slower for some reason. There was also a bug which made the wizard go forward even when I wasn't touching the keyboard, which was odd, didn't affect gameplay too much but it was worrying.

The visuals for this game are beautiful, a really nice 3D platformer and everything comes together perfectly to provide a great aesthetic. The music is nice and relaxed and adds a great feel to the game.

Puzzles are not too challenging although the dash feels unresponsive in places, sometimes it didn't seem to want to dash and sometimes it would dash way too far but overall a really cool mechanic.

The little blue blocks that give you a bigger jump were a cool idea and the spikes and moving spikes added some cool challenges.

The concept is simple, collect the key and reach the door which is a nice straight forward idea.

The noise made for dashing can get somewhat annoying after a while especially if you die a bunch of times and are using it a lot!

Overall a fantastic professional looking game, I had a lot of fun!

I had all the same thoughts!
The charge is a little janky but otherwise this is all put together really well :)
