Nice game, which actually just has one purpose: Destroying :-D

I like the idea of being inside an elevator the whole time. Especially the music... actually just from hearing that, and before really recognizing it visually i thought, lol that's sound like elevator-music.

Also pretty cool cartoon-styled explosion effects.

Unfortunately the throwing physics seemed a bit broken. Was hard to throw the bowling ball with the typical "bowling-hand-movement". It just stopped then on half-way. So had to throw it just from the "top" so to say, which made it hard to aim exactly.

Although it may not perfectly fit to the theme (or i just don't get it?), it's all in all a fun concept :-)

Developer(+1)

The physics were the biggest pain. I made the mistake of using Auto Hand for the first time and just didn't have enough time to understand the systems in place with that asset to get things to work smoothly. The asset itself is fantastic, but I didn't  consider how much time it would actually take for me to understand it all.

You're not the first to mention that it seems a bit off theme. It may have made more sense if I could have incorporated more of the story, but also scrapped this due to time. Next time, I really need to scope things back lol. Thanks for playing!!!

I gave up on the box to destroy stuff and really F'd up that room with the bowling ball! I found that slapping the bowling ball as it appeared on the table made the best tactic to bust down those monitors and furniture in no time. I thought an interesting mechanic that you could put in there for V2  to throw a wrench into everything is to add some ragdollable NPC's that walk around the level. You get $$$ destruction but if you hit anyone you need to pay hospital/insurance fees which would deduct from your score. This is a fun entry, there were a lot of GOOD entries but not so many fun ones, this one was definitely fun!

Developer

Ragdoll NPC's were definitely in the pipeline that got chopped. Some idea that the CEO fired everyone and replaced them with robots. After day 2 of implementing and seeing my progress, those ragdoll dreams died lol. Thank you so much for the kind words and enjoying the game. I'm still in awe of the top down view in your game... and that damned gorgeous title screen!

You cant really go wrong with chaotic destruction! Good fun! Like the concept and use of theme!

The throwing physics were a bit rough. The bowling ball would hardly throw at all no matter how I tried, and the box would often go flying through the roof. On level 3, everything practically just exploded and went crazy which was a sight to see.

The player collider is a bit too big. It would knock everything off the tables and also made it much harder to throw as the object or my hand would collide with the player.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the throwing mechanics were tough. I ended up using Auto Hand for the first time during this jam and didn't know enough about the asset to really smooth things out. I kind of wish I just said screw it and made every level as explosive as level 3. Thanks for playing!!!

Submitted

Actually I think it is better with only level 3 being that explosive. It came as more of a shock and was more entertaining that way. Although it did make me think it was not intentional at first as the others didn't react the same way.

I thought of picking up auto hand but I cannot decide if it is worth it or I should focus on just making my own implementation. Do you feel it is worth it and something you may feel like using often?

Developer

That's a tough question. I bought it a year ago when it was substantially cheaper. I think I got it in a bundle for $45. I will say that the dynamic hand attachment is amazing. Not having to code and figure that out, may be worth it in terms of time saved. Overall, I think it's worth it, but I would probably wait until it's on sale or in a bundle.

Amazing game. I really enjoyed all the destruction. One issue I noticed was that if I stay closer to the ball, the next ball that spawns will automatically roles off due to collision with my hands. Not sure how to fix this since I also enjoyed hitting them like golf rather than grab and throw :). Great stuff

Developer

Yeah I noticed the collision too. When I was testing it, I just started punching them off the spawning platform. With everything else that was broken, I said 'screw it, this isn't a bug, it's a feature!' Thanks for playing! I hope to reach your levels of polish one day!

Very satisfying destruction experience. The bowling balls rocked. I like how the mailroom worker is making "one last delivery".

Developer

Gotta make sure you leave the office with a memorable exit! Thanks for playing and congrats on your entry. Truly one of the best.

Overall simple and nice game , i can use it easily in case when i am angry! Haha anyway nice game, with some improvement, like maybe an highscore os some more features or VFX can be awesome this game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I would have loved to put in a high score and more variety in levels. About half way through implementation, I discovered I had bit off more than I could chew... So you know, standard game jamming mistakes on my end lol. Thanks again! Will review yours asap!!!

Comicbook Poof and Boom made the job ;) Satysfaying destruction sim !

Developer

Cheers and thanks for playing. I loved that vfx too! They're free on the asset store if you want to check them out. JMO Assets - Cartoon FX

Very neat game! Highest score I got was $86,900!
Had a bit of a hard time grabbing some of the items at times. The bowling ball in particular liked to roll away when I tried to grab it, like maybe the character's collider was bumping into it before my hand was. Wasn't able to restart the game with the button for some reason, but I just closed it and reloaded it worked fine that way.

Good job overall! Looking forward to your video covering it (if you make one). Your tutorials helped me out greatly throughout this jam!

Developer

Thanks for playing! The bowling ball was the bane of my life. I was going to turn off physics until the player picked up the ball, but never got around to it.

I'd love to make a video for this jam, but I feel so behind on my tutorials due to this jam! lol. Thanks for playing and I'm incredibly happy to hear my videos have helped you. I'll play your game asap!!!

Good visuals and sounds. The theme is somewhat off. But implementation is good, controls feel right.

Developer

Big ups to Auto Hand when it comes to the controls. It was my first time trying out the asset and there dynamic gripping of objects is solid! Thanks for playing!

Loved the smash therapy! Fun concept and rather addicting smacking bowling balls everywhere lol Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and getting some smash therapy out of it! Cheers!! will review yours asap!

Congrats on finishing the game!  It was fun playing it. My score was $91900.  I liked the general concept of destroying things and causing damage. The Poofs and Bams were a nice touch to show the zaniness. I would have liked to go into the room and do the damage too with maybe a hammer. Super market sweep in that office space.  The box was vastly inferior to the bowling ball.  I would also add the big high score should be visible while playing.  Maybe put it on those cool hands you have.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I think you're right about the Super Market Sweep idea. Going floor to floor and using a sledgehammer would have been a blast!
