Super impressive all the way around. Voice acting in a game jam is always a big plus! The art and full game loop are terrific. To be able to pull a team together and accomplish so much in a week is something you should all be proud of! Congrats on this!

Loved the art and style, pulling the sword out of the stone was delightful
It took me a while though, to figure out that I'm supposed to protect the sword and use the other weapons to kill the beasts. Not sure where I missed that.
Also, there's way too much time between resets and getting to the second wave for example. I'd recommend shortening that dramatically.
I can't believe hosts didn't add the best title category specially for this game
in another world where they already ended this Jam!
Voice acting in a game jam! WOW! that's some amazing stuff right there. I really enjoyed the witty remarks and comments based on my actions in game it added so much enjoyable flavour to the game, that I have so far not experienced in any other game in the jam. I found the game to be extreamly difficult though and I actually never managed to beat it, because the enemies run faster than me if I can't kill them before they pass me it's an instant game over because it's really hard to throw items in my opinion. That doesn't detract from the enjoyment of this game and the sheer effort and quality here. Amazing work!
Very high-quality and team work! And I really liked the trailer))
Beautiful world, great voice acting and overall experience. I did have issues getting started, the game crashed the first couple times I tried loading in. But I was able to get it working, not sure if I changed much on my end to do so. Being talked to in VR by characters is underrated and we need more of it in games!
Yeah, as others have said, the main pain point are the unclear instructions on what to do. Usually not a too huge of an issue, but trial and error becomes tedious listening to the very long start dialogue and waiting. Speaking of dialogue, that, together with the graphics, made for a very nice scenario to play in. I love other world stories, so this was right up my alley. Nice job.
Oh, you don't have to listen to any of the the dialogs, they are all skipable ; for example, you can directly regrab the sword to start a new game. That's interesting because our playtesters didn't have this issue, so if you have any idea how we could have comunicated it to you, i'll definitly take it ^^
As for the rest, that's very useful feedback, thanks :) I'll find a way to make the goal more intuitive and update it when I get the chance :D
I think I’ve done that, but the dragon still needs to do his monologue before spawning the mobs, who have to waddle all the way to the zone. Like, the first goblin is really not a challenge, but I still need to wait forever for him.
I think part is also on me, since I’m not that patient while at the same time trying out things, like using the weapons as traps along the way, but I swear that the game is more difficult than probably intended. Some mobs just go through and it’s difficult to stop them in time.
I ultimate beat the game today on a second try, but it still took a bit and required me to abuse teleport to beam around as fast as possible.
I also agree with the issue you mentionned.
We felt the long area of play was important in early waves so player can get the hang of it, and in latter waves so they have enough time to defeat more monsters.
Still waiting for that first goblin when restarting the game can be frustrating, maybe adding a x2/x5 time speed up button would help solve the issue.
Again, thanks for taking the time to explain further, we, as a team, greatly apreciate it!
Really love the execution here, the presentation as a whole is superb and I love that you even added voice acting! Great stuff all around!!
Masterful presentation !
I really enjoyed the introduction and the funny comments !
I found the controls a little bit counterintuitive but I got the hang of it.
Also took me some tries to understand that the enemies were going for the sword and not me ^^
I would have liked it if the game wouldnt end as soon as the enemies reach the sword.
Maybe they could try to steal it and walk back with it so you have a chance to get it back aswell.
Great graphic and presentation, really good job !
Sure !
I found teleporting items to your hand a litle bit weird as you frist had to perform the grip action to activate the pointer and then press trigger teleport the weapon.
It also often would prefer to grab the weapon (that im already holding) with the other hand instead of teleporting another weapon.
Teleporting as a player is usually done when releasing the joystick while here you had to then press/input it again after releasing it the first time. Now obviously nothing gamebreaking and it all worked out, but it did cost me a couple runs ;D
Great attention to the detail in this game guys! I loved how heavy the weapons felt and the voice acting :D Also the grabbing system was amazing!
Great job guys, you made a very cool game. Also feel free to try our game and leave feedback!
This game looks amazing! The effects of getting the sword out of the stone was super cool. Also liked the subtle color change to show the boundaries. I however could not kill the goblin over 3 times. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks! The goblin have 3 hp, so if you are using the Toy Hammer of Infinite One-Use (TM) you will need to move along him and hit him 3 times. You can see his remaining health by looking at the health bar that appears over his head after you hit him once.
While other weapons are only one-use, they are also more powerful. Try throwing a rotten tomato :)
I see, the idea of the game is to hide/prevent monster approching, the big sword you pulled, and use all the other weapon (the ones with a beam of light above them) to kill them.
Killing them will make weapons drop from the basket at the starting area.
All weapon works slighty differently but I will keep the spoiler short here :)
Once you reach the last wave (the dragon) you will need the big sword from the start to kill him.
The hammer from the start of the game is the only weapon that do not break, finishing the game without using it may make for an harder challenge.
Nice work, this is well made! The dialog adds a lot to the game
this must be the best looking jam game i've ever seen, unforunately i have no way of playing pcvr any hope for a quest build?
