The font and UI are very clean. Amazing work on the models and SFX. The game mechanic is really fun and interesting with a cool story to go with it. Very well polished game!
Thanks a lot for your feedback, though i can't take too much credit for the models themselves as they are mostly synty assets. But glad you enjoyed how I put it all together. :)
That's an absolute 5/5 WOWIE from me, holy crap I love this, I really hope you expand on this post jam!!
Thank you so much, that's really kind. Right now it's definitely my intention to continue this crazy cat adventure. Already have a couple ideas to include in a full release. Stay tuned ;)
hehe kitty go boom
I love cats, It was great, burning the house, I Also managed to set table and bed on fire :D Seems like you already know Black street cats are just more active than others :D
Loved all the details, nice cat animation, overall visuals are outstanding
Controls feel pretty smooth, and sounds are pretty consistent except I was not a huge fun of the music but that was not a big deal
Great game!
I've always wondered why my cats knock things off tables and shelves. This was an adorable little insight into their minds!
I liked the small little details that were put into the game, like the cat running faster when they're on fire and hissing when you swipe at the guard.
While I liked the humorous presentation of the objectives, my biggest complaint is actually how hand-holdy the objective system is. I think I would have had more fun exploring what kinds of things I can destroy on my own rather than being told what to do. Bigger things, like destroying the window and shooting the cannon, could have in-game clues to suggest that those things are possible.
I felt kind of worried destroying things before I was supposed to, because when the game started, I immediately knocked a glass bottle off. Later it became an objective, but wasn't marked completed. I thought I had already broken the game by doing things out of their "set order" before noticing there were more bottles.
The sound effects were good, and I especially enjoyed the music! The composer effectively created an exploratory/mischievous backdrop to knock things over to.
I noticed one bug, and that's that in the house you can jump through the furniture on the right side of the room.
This was a very cute game! I enjoyed it :)
Thank you so much for playing and giving such detailed feedback. I actually agree with you on the point of not making the objectives too obvious, but for the gamejam I decided that it's gonna be better to make it easy for people to understand what they should do. And I've seen footage and got question that show that even then not everybody got it. For a full release it will definitely have a lot more things that can be explored.
And would also have more music by Tunglith :)
Excellent game! Once I saw the title I knew I had to give it a go. Quite fun!
A great Game, where you play as a cat destroying your envoirement.
The Gameplay is very fun and creative. The Controls are good to use (except the swing, it is a little slow) and the Objectives are clear to you (you know what to do). One thing about the game is also really good and that is the things that you do are slowly getting more extreme. One moment you play with your wool ball, the next you break glass and the next thing you know is your house is on fire.
Gutes Spiel :)
Really fun idea! I think there's a lot of potential for a game about a cat just causing general chaos, and the game looks good especially for a 72 hour jam! The controls felt pretty good, but the swipe felt pretty delayed -- having to wait for the animation to finish every time got a little annoying, especially when one swipe often wouldn't be enough to knock an object off a table. Nearly got stuck on the cannon part before remembering the fire interaction (I spent a while just pressing E around it or looking around for a cannon ball) -- I feel like adding a wick to the top would've helped give a hint as to what to do.
Great concept, good art, nice tie-in with the theme and an overall great entry!
thanks for the detailed feedback. I agree, I'm also not happy with the current delay for the paw, but for the jam i had to accept it like this for now as I'm not that good with animations and character controllers yet, so had to use what i had. So, something I'm gonna work on for the full release. :)
I loved every second of this adorable chaos!! Really well done!!
Uhhh... Hallo!! I've been a good kitty i swear... Not clipped in any library or anything like that... (I)w(I)
This game is awesome!! I especially like the "Things a good kitty does:" list xD
The only thing i'd change about this game is that i'd personally put a timer, and at the end of the timer your owner will judge your good/bad beheaviour. Imo that would make the game a lot more interesting :3
This game is awesome. 11/10 (^D^)
thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it! Yes there's a collider not set up properly with the bookshelf, I already fixed it for the postjam version :)
Since the kitty is escaping the house, it's gonna be difficult for the owner to judge the behavior, but interesting idea for one of the endings in case the player doesn't leave in a set time!
really fun to play, neat visual and mechanics, but I got stuck in put down 3 bottle, and don't know how to flame the flammable object :(((
Cảm ơn nhé :) Destroying all bottles is optional, you can ignite the flammable object by running into the fire and then on the carpet, the bed, the desk or table cloth.
haha, good gêm, ok bác :v
Excellent work! I just wish I knew how to fire the cannon...
Thanks for playing until that part at least :) you have to jump on top of the cannon while burning.
I tried that, but for some reason it wouldn't work. Maybe I just wasn't on fire long enough.
Might have to be quicker, OR push the burning lantern closer
Fun concept. I agree with what have been said already - the cat's paw can use more power, and although the walking animation is great, I want speed so let me run without holding shift.
I think you can make it that I can kick stuff with me running into it. More chaos and fluidity to the chaos.
Well done!
Edit: Forgot to mention that it took me a lot of time to realize I need to set myself on fire.
Thanks for your feedback. I'm on the fence about making the run state the default state, because I want the motivation to be to get to the burning state. When the cat is set on fire it moves faster and also jumps further. My plan is that it's gonna be possible to keep that fast state going by burning more things or running into existing fires, which should result in more fluidity and chaos. I also could imagine that breakable objects would get destroyed on contact while on fire, that shouldn't actually be too difficult to set up. Appreciate the input.
Amazing!!!! I feel like being a cat and knocking stuff over is a fantasy we all have.. Thank you for letting me live it :P
Happy to help, I'm thinking about extending this title further, so you could potentially knock even more stuff over as a cat ;)
Love everything about this. Like the style, the concept of being a naughty cat...on fire. Polish it a little more and add more content and I think you'd have a great game!
Honestly, I generally give detailed feedback, but, this doesn't really feel like anything needs to change beyond more content! It was a really fun little sandbox game, and I enjoyed it thoroughly with my only complaint being that it didn't run all that well on my sorta low-end laptop. Amazing Game!
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I will try to see where this game could lead further, there might be an extended version on the horizon.
I really like cats and this is exactly their behaviour, so good job! :D
your cats also set everything on fire? I thought only mine did that ;)
I want more pleaseee. This game was so fun to play :D The models, music, control everything was top notch i cant belive you did this in 3 days. Simply amazing please do more i want to know what will happen to our kitten in the castle :D Overall amazing work well done !
Note:I would be happy if you could check out my game as well :d
good job gypynkt, fresh and fun. I really like the interactive environments
thank you for playing :)
