great game i wish there was more to do other then just pressing buttons but it fit the theme pretty well

I don't really like this game due to the fact that there is absolutely no skill, it's just pressing random buttons and you can't even lose the game because your mom will buy you more fishes.
the subtheme of the jam was "messing with the concept of winning and losing". I made a game where you cannot lose to fulfill that.
Great concept and very wholesome - would have loved for there to be some aspect that wasn't luck based though.
Ty for the feedback. I designed this to be as simple as humanly possible from a gameplay perspective, and what is simpler than a dice roll ? XD But i totally understand that renouncing "skill based" elements could potentially take away some fun. I will focus on incorporating those in my next games ;)

Such a wholesome game :D I had fun playing it - the length was well paced for this kind of game. Very simple but I liked it a lot!

That was.. surprisingly pleasant and relaxing, especially the music and the choice of colors!
I read that is luck based, and I was like "what?!" because I kept giving the A, then B, then C, then repeat and got all 10 fishes in a row without deaths!

altought there wasnt really much in terms of gameplay i still enjoyed it! I had a moment of panic when i got 9 fished first attempt and killed them, but then when i realized she will bring the total back to 10 i was glad.
its a good decision to make it so you dont really lose proggress, it makes it so you dont lose just becuase of sheer luck.

I think the gentle music helps with the crying sounds, and makes it feel more emotional. otherwise i feel the crying would be annoying, so well done there.

Loved this concept! The art fit the "light-hearted" feel of the game as well. Really could see this going somewhere, nicely done!
