The click sound effect is a bit much after an entire journey for sure. I do wish I had got around to that before the end of the jam.

Thanks for the review :D

So glad you enjoyed it, I agree the game could have benefited from rebalancing some of the quests for sure. We thought it better to err on the side of too easy though

I went clockwise around the outside for each journey, eventually I had a highway around the outside that I could hop on for each journey.  I managed to get about 20 journeys in and then things got too hairy.
Very fun

I had so much fun with this. Really clever idea and so well done

Loved this, I made one or two bad decisions in my first run and couldn't get back on top of it. When I retried though I made it pretty far. Well done!

Managed to get through the levels in a very mediocre 643.2. Very fun though, the movement felt great especially if you got the angle of the wall just right and could wall-jump up

I am glad you enjoyed it, I definitely agree that the impact of the weather on the choices could be telegraphed way more,  we did this for the main quests but didn't have time to clarify it as much for the side quests.

Unfortunately none of the buttons or dials work for me when I ran the windows build, I was able to press keys and change the frequency but not much else happened. Please let me know if I am missing something

Inspired. What a beautiful idea executed beautifully

This was so interesting.  And the rendering in a terminal was something I did not expect. Super relaxing to just sit and feed the fish.

So charming and really fun! I would pay money to play a full release of this.

I got a bit frustrated with the controls on web since the mouse going out of the window caused a lot of problems, maybe you could capture the mouse when the user clicks to prevent it going off screen.

All the choices in the game pertain to the weather, and the weather is simulated to follow natural cycles, (Summer, Winter, Storms, etc)

CLEEEAN! This is so intuitive and satisfying to play, Very well done.

Very cute, I had fun fidgeting with it for a while

I think it might be nice to have an indicator for the cat's vision range, same for the ducks too.

This is so cute, it reminds me of zed and other flash games from miniclip. Way above my skill level though so I couldn't get very far.

Played this game on a graphics table and let me tell you its so much easier that way haha. Very fun.

The game was pretty and pretty enjoyable.

Some minor points: I do wish there was some more information about what each of the buildings did. The Houses give you more population which adds up to more gold but it wasn't clear what the tavern, and blacksmith do. Also the merchant does not seem to work for me. I have more than 10 gold and wanted to buy a mid-range weapon and nothing seemed to happen

The atmosphere is very well done, I do think the game could ramp up a bit slower, it feels like I am overwhelmed by villagers almost immediately

That was interesting, I love the concept. I went into debt immediately :P but ended up rolling in dough eventually.

This reminds me a little bit of the witness. I am a fan of the lonely explorer vibe. I did get stuck a few times in the geometry of the pyramid and had to restart but that was good fun.

I got lost in this. Started playing it and realised many minutes later that the time had flown by. Well done!

Charming, knocking into small object for extra time was an inspired choice, it added character in the best way

I had fun with this one, good job.

As a bit of feedback I wish there was a bit more feedback when you hit the enemies or levelled up.

(1 edit)

Well done, Yeah I think the bird has about 3 useful lines out of all the quests, the rest is on the cutting room floor :P

Aah, why does filling up on oil take so looong XD

I was indeed panicked, and I also had fun, good job

Playing this after a week of stress due to the game jam was god send. You are a master of the good vibes

All of you folks come up with such unique ideas, super inspiring.

Great initial concept, executed solidly, and with style.

Hill Climb Racing but with bike...you promised and you delivered :D

It was fun, I did have some trouble with the bike being a bit blurry at higher speeds

The nicest UI and most responsive feeling game in the jam. Bravo!

The atmosphere is there and the base mechanics work well. The levels did get a bit repetitive eventually though.

Took me a little bit to understand what was going on but once I did I had good fun. Nicely done

How did you come up with this? XD

That was good fun, only brought down by the game not always registering mouse inputs.

Neat idea, I got around 23.

This is essentially a rhythm game I suppose so taking a leaf out of their book it might be nice to add a bit more anticipation around the "correct" timing to swap the magnets, the arrows in the middle are already a good step in this directions and it could be really satisfying with some extra effects when you get the timing perfect.

I had good fun playing this, the progression feels clean and the music puts you in the perfect headspace.

Minor comment: The cooldowns felt a bit on/off for me, since the cooldown doesn't matter at all for the blue and red nodes and matters a whole lot for green and pink etc. The result is that if you want to use those bigger cooldown nodes you sort of have to go all in on orange nodes

Very interesting, I really love signal processing so this was neat to play around with.

Amazing submission, there is so much about this that I like.

The graphics are inspired, the audio feels so clean and the game is quite fun. (You knew your audience would be programmers so mechanics like this are a shoe-in)

Well done

I added the link thanks, I am glad you like the way the code is done, I wanted to make it as easy as possible to write dialogue because I knew I would be doing a lot of it XD

It is open source yeah. GitHub ibotha/bevy-jam-5 I apologize in advance for the game-jam quality code

Bugfix for the continue button showing when it shouldn't is incoming

Such a beautiful art style. Well done!
