Very solid jam entry!

Nice presentation and a proper game to play with voice acting and progression.
I really like that you focused on the core mechanic (Push & Pull) and that the other mechanics like pressing a button or powering a generator buildson top of that core mechanic. Gives a very nice and intuitive gameplay loop.

Small thing, on the meta quest 3 the gravity gun pointed upwards when my hand was holding the controller neutral.

GLaDOS would be proud

How are you able to give a tentacle character haha
I really liked the animation and voice acting.

The top conveyer belt was a bit difficult to manage when multiple things fell down, but besides that a very nice game and I was able to save the world!

Obviously a very beautiful world and the third person concept feels fresh since it less explored then first person vr games.

Since VR players usually have two controllers in their hands I'd suggest to keep snap turning on one stick and movement on the other since I accidentally turned a lot while moving with the stick.

I really enjoyed pulling myself almost to ground level, flying forward as fast as possible and avoid obstacles. Felt like I was part of this electrical forest.

You should think about fleshing out this game, there is potential!

Fun little arcade experience!

The art style and presentation looks great  and its a full flashed arcade machine game in there.
I didn't seem to have a huge problem getting the last row, but hitting the capsules felt a bit stiff. I'm looking forward to test it again when the zombies are patched in.

By the way I was able to walk out of the left door when I physically ducked down, you could hide an easter egg out there haha

Awesome atmosphere and level design, even proper voice lines!

Took a little bit to get used to the fighting but then I either sent robots flying with an uppercut or stomped them into the ground with my fists! Great feeling.

My only issue was that I still get neasous quite fast in VR and the camera rides and smooth turning almost made me puke and I couldn't proceed very far. (I reached the taxi tho!)

I could also jump indefintely and fly out of the map, but that wasn't a huge deal since I could just decide not to do it.

Thank you so much for trying Watt's Up and giving your feedback!

I was a bit torn between educational and arcade / sandbox experience, but I love the idea of educational VR experiences more and more every second!
I didn't had the time to properly implement a menu or a height reclabriation. For anyone reading this, right stick is virtual crouching, that's why the character stands up after releasing the right stick .

And the colors blending together is also good feedback, especially since the hands are transparent as well.

Again thank you!

Thank you for trying my game and your kind feedback!

I couldn't dedicate enough time to implement more features, but it's really nice to hear that there is potential to the idea and it's fun for others as well. I was torn between a realistic educational game or an sandbox where you build fun little vehicles and machines. Maybe I'll clean up the code and extend the idea more.

thank you and I would love to learn a simple song or melody in your game if you update it!

Instrument learning (basics) in VR could actually be a thing.

Thanks for the great feedback already!

The gun is a clarinet, so that’s kind of the instrument haha. But the notes making a sound on being shot and syncing with the music is a great idea!

And I think I can patch reloading and dual weapons in fairly easy, but I’ll wait with updates till the rating period is over.

Would be cool if you could post your Highscores on the itch page as well!

The presentation and environment of this game as well as the level of polish with the interactions in the room, menus, etc. is awesome!

I had to twist my left hand a bit unnatural to have the guitar in front of me instead of the strings facing up. But besides that a very clean, moody and overall nice jam entry.

That really felt like a proper game - well done!

Somewhere within the song I started to march towards enemy lines while still hitting the notes and actually won when almost reaching them haha. Maybe make the notes check if they're above the drums.

Oh and smooth turning makes me puke immediately, please opt to snap or make it an option.

Great jam entry!

Very chill and mellow experience. Sitting in the kitchen working this little keyboard feels great!
And I love the use of hand tracking as well.

It would cool if my middle and ring finger could also interact with the keyboard so I could press multiple buttons with one hand.

I really liked this jam entry!

Fun experience playing a trumpet!

I wish the trumpet would be a bit more reactive. Make the valves go up and down with the button inputs, before blowing into it. So I can see what I'm doing, since I don't know how to play trumpet (yet) as well as stoping the blowing sound as soon as I let go of the button.

You are onto something here!

Unfortunately I don't have much musical talent, so I cant compose any cool clone orchestra. But maybe this game can teach me in the future.

The execution of the recordings and clones is great and feels very clean, as well as the instruments.

Small things for improvement:

  • You're checking for collision magnitude to determine the volume of the sound already. Get a little "deadzone" in there, If mangitude is less then X, ignore the collision. So if I'm hitting something and scraping over it, the sound will not play multiple times.
  • Get the clones on a timer, so it's easier to synchronize them and maybe a metronome to make it easier to compose something for people that are not so talented with music aka me.

I hope I'll see a bit more of this project in the future.

Feel free to leave feedback and I'd love to see your highscore here! 🎵💥💣

Thank you for that feedback and compliment!
We're glad that our project was well received and people had a good time. We definitely think about polishing the game out a bit more. :)

Thank you for taking the time to write this great response!

Thank you, glad you liked it!

That would be really funny!

No worries I understand. The mobile build had some major performance issues and tbh I didn’t had the energy to properly profile and optimize it.

Thank you for testing and giving such nice and detailed feedback, that really means a lot! Super happy that you liked it!

Thank you still for trying tho! I know there are so many games out there so it's super appreciated. :)

I would be very interested in your hardware specs and VR headset if you don't mind sharing.

I can run the game fine on a GTX 1070, 16GB RAM and an i7-6700 CPU.

Very nice and well polished experience. Small thing but I also loved the diagram you made to explain the game.

It would mean a lot to me if you'd try my game Protocol PAR-C3L as well :)

Cool mechanics and nice implementation of the drone flying. I really like the dynamic level load in and out. Maybe you could try to set the transparency of the spawned in objects from 0% - 100% in a very short amount of time to make it a bit more fluid.

It would mean a lot to me if you'd try my game Protocol PAR-C3L as well :)

That is so freaking cute - love it!

And I said that on another Jam entry as well, it's great to see hand tracking used as a controller.

2 days is a crazy little amount of time to come up and implement a whole game - great job Robi!

I really like that there are more and more experiences using hand tracking instead of controllers. If you're open for it you can hit me up on discord to discuss more about using hand tracking as proper game controllers. (maajin_)

And it would mean a lot to me if you'd try my game Protocol PAR-C3L as well :)

Very cute game and I liked the educational approach. The comments and video were helpful to proceed tho.

It would mean a lot to me if you'd try my game Protocol PAR-C3L as well. I got a comment that it reminded the user of an educational game for coding haha.

Fun and chaotic experience - better embrace the chaos!

It would mean a lot to me if you'd try my game Protocol PAR-C3L as well :)

Since I got automated, but technically not fired.. do I hang out in the cafeteria now?

Fun little experience. Would recommend.

In response to Ericdef's comment. In Unity you can put grabbables and the player rig on different physics layers to prevent prop flying or other manipulation of the player with props. Just make sure your hands are on a layer that actually can interact with the grabbables.

Portal VR is a great premise and your gameplay trailer was very helpful!

Good luck with the exams and great that you could make the jam work anyways!

No worries, we all know that cursed deadline creeping up on us, meanwhile bugs and features wait to be fixed and implemented haha.

I understood the mechnical reason why the cycles are like that and it didn't influence the rating in a negative way.

btw I posted an anweser to your comment on my page, explaining how to get the code to the robots.

Thank you for trying and sorry about that! I wanted to make a visual explaining it instead of text, but you know.. time.

If you have time to test it again or for anyone else:

  • Program the disk at the console
  • Pull the disk out and bring it to the robots
  • On top of the robot is a slit to push the disk in
  • Push the red button near the puzzle to start/reset

That worked out great!

Far reach, great health and fast fire rate haha *slaps huge tower like a car salesman*

Thank you for the info, I'm gonna try again then!

I saw the icons but didn't thought about touching them, rather then mimicing the movement.. typical player moment haha

Sure no worries! :)
We all had a very limited amount of time to get these cool VR experiences up and running, so there will be some bugs. If you need some help debugging or anything like that you can hit me up on discord: maajin_

Interesting project!
Is that rig completely custom made?

Would love for you to try out my game as well :D

Thank you for playing my game and sorry about the index issue - only had a quest for testing, but that is super useful to know!

And that is a cute comparison! I didn’t know that app. When I learned programming in school we had a program where you pseudo coded for a little robot placing red Lego bricks, but I don’t know the name of that either anymore.

Thank you very much! Obviously we all only had a short amount of time to come up and work with an idea, but I think there is a lot of possibilities with programming your little P.A.L.’s .. maybe even outside of a grid as a proper companion :D

Thank you very much, glad you liked it!
