Loved the style! The opening tutorial to treat the title screen as destructible was genius. Great overall action design. I didn't find myself feeling brave enough to capture most of the enemy powers though so I think I missed out on at least one of them, but they were diverse yet felt pretty balanced. Really solid submission, overall!
Also: Why am I so in love with the watercooler animation??

Kinetic and addictive with just the right amount of challenge! You clearly have a solid grasp of action game design and feel. The player's movement speed is just right, and the varied enemy types are utilized well to make sections feel distinct from one another. It feels great to clear a room without taking any damage, and it always felt like my fault when I did get hit, never a result of unfair design. I'm a sucker for scoring systems that incentivize me to stay in the action and play aggressively, and I plan on trying for a no-death run with no dropped combos. It's rare for game jam projects to have this level of replay appeal! Also, including a boss fight is ambitious in and of itself, but creating a boss that gains new abilities across several fights is a huge accomplishment.
As far as constructive feedback, I'd be interested in playing a build of Night Sweep with more emphasis on sucking up and launching enemies. The suction ability is necessary in order to collect the 4 colored powers, but other than that, I only really used it to catch bunnies for a higher combo multiplier. Finding a way to incorporate it into the core gameplay loop would be cool, and there might even be an implementation that also balances the other attack types. Maybe you could have a universal ammo/mana resource, and colored projectiles deplete it at varying rates based on their strength. To replenish ammo, you'd need to successfully launch enemies into each other. Just an idea, but even without any changes, this game is a blast to play and is extremely polished. Kudos to everyone involved!
The minimalist design is excellent. I also love how the start sequence / tutorial are integrated with the loading screen. Great design choice!
the art, music, and gameplay are all soooo good. wonderful time. i love the boss, very cool.
Wow what a polished game! Congrats on making this in 10 days! Enjoyed the art, the music, and the gameplay!
WOWOWOWOW! This feels like a real game! The boss fight is so clean!
The only thing I would have changed is to somehow make all the power important, maybe by only being able to kill some enemies with some powers... I finished the game by only using the red power because it felt the most satisfying and I didn't have to vacuum any enemies. That little tweak would add so much to this already incredible game in my opinion!
Anyways an amazing game, had a ton of fun playing it!
Really like the art style, and fun gameplay with a good amount of variety. Boss was fun to fight too.
I absolutely love this, gotta be one of my favorites so far. The music is legit phenomenal, the type of stuff I expect to here is a full release retro revival game. Gameplay is super polished too, loved it. It's like Luigi's Mansion meets Undertale. Spinning cockroach is also great, love that little guy. Great job all around!
Really awesome game, loving the throwback to a simpler time, the use of colors makes me think of C64 or Atari titles, but more polished! Gameplay reminded me of Luigi's mansion, but with more action gameplay. Excellent work, the quality is really outstanding!
Presentation is great, using the title screen as a tutorial was a great idea. Good job!
The artstyle reminds me a lot of Downwell, it's really cool!
Wow! What a neat concept, to be a janitor and having these unexpected office supply enemies. The water cooler enemy was fun, and the bee boss made use of the rectangular space of the game really well. Right from the start the use of the main menu to introduce the mechanics was clever. I like the sound design and the room transitions. This feels so clean.
Amazing visuals and music! The boss fights were super fun as well! Amazing work!!
Super impressive :D I really like the vibe and the music in the game. I thought the boss was fun and the rooms where challenging but not annoying! Music reminds me of 8-bit music kinda like shovel night
