Shoot shoot shoot! Satisfying!!!! Good job throwing together something so lovely in a short time.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Your game was so simple, yet did so much with the mechanics you had. Big respect!

Submitted

Movement is really clean, lots of room for messing around with enemies and explosions. The grapple-to-point-blank-shot combo is awesome, art is great, music is great. No notes, really. This is one of my favorite games from the jam. Great stuff!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the review! I've been wanting to play yours for a minute now, it looks so fun!

Really nice Artstyle and Music, after a while i fell into a flow and just zoned out and played the Game. Which is a big compliment. The movement feels very good, destroying the robots feels very good. Very nice Game. I didn't quiet understand how the Score/Rank System worked...most of the Time I was at a C ... but finished the Game with an A Rank, so yeah. Really cool game

Developer(+1)

Most of the points come at the end, from the time bonus and completion bonus. Completion alone is 2/5ths of S rank, and time bonus could be up to around another 2/5ths, leaving only around 500k to be gotten from destruction. Glad you liked it!

Ah very nice, thanks for takeing the time to explain it :)
Will you keep on working on this game? I think some new Enemies could really spice things up. Would love to play/see more of your game :)

Developer (1 edit)

The definitive, true answer, is maybe. It really depends on if we could get published or not -- neither me or mangoes knows the legalities of selling something you made together lol, and a publisher could probably help us with that.

Submitted

I see...yeah that is a problem. Depending from which country you are hailing from. If you really want to look into that, I bet there are some resources which tell you what you could do. I think the most basic thing could be...that both of you hold the rights to the game. So nobody of the both of you cannot do something with the game, unless the other one also gives green light for that.

I would be careful with a publisher, some of them have really bad contracts for devteams. Some of them are not even good in...marketing your game so yeah. Some publishers also don't really care how the dev team operates, they only care that you finish it and their percentage.

I am sure you will figure a way out that is perfect for you :)

Developer

Sure, thanks for the warning, we're both in the US, and we'd be careful with what publishers we would contact. Probably our first priority would be Big Mode :)

Very very fun. super polished game, just was enjoyable to slide around and grapple robots.

Submitted

yeah that was fun! mission comlpete! :)

Submitted

nice! lot of polish here, especially in the opening cutscene. was really fun gliding around this level, feels a bit like hotline miami, in the best way possible. the grapple -> scattershot is super satisfying and requires you paying a fair bit of attention to how you're managing enemies. i feel like speedruns would be really fun here- flying through without touching power pads seems barely possible. i do almost wish the power pads were more conservatively placed, so that you're forced to make use of the environment a bit more- but leaving this for a timed challenge also makes sense. would love to see more of this!

Developer (1 edit)

We put lots of pads purely because if you want a good rank, you have to skip and go fast :) I'm glad you liked it so much!

Crazy snappy. I actually played this day 1, just noticed I never left a comment or rated. This was sick

Developer

Thanks for not only playing, but coming back lol. Glad you enjoyed our game. :)

Woah this is very satisfying to play! The art and animations are clean and sleek. The gameplay feels smooth and responsive. The sounds effects from the laser shots and explosions sound so good. This game is just so clean and polished! I really enjoyed playing!

Developer

Glad you liked it!

If you released this as is I would buy it. Everything from the game feel, level design, sound, art and animation was amazing. All it needs is more content and maybe more difficulty, being able to just grab any enemy indefinitely felt like cheating.

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it so much! If we expand, those would be addressed, obviously.

This game strikes me as being very slick! Slick presentation! Slick controls!! Slick music!!! The only non-slick thing about this game is the gameplay... which is tight! (This is good) congrats on putting together this radical game slicksters!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, slick individual.

Super smooth fast gameplay. Simple and to the point! Great game!

Thank you!

So fluid and fun!

Everyone praises the game's visuals. I do, too. In this game, just being in the game is nice!

Developer

Thank you!

Good artstyle, fun and polished! I was speeding, killing, throwing all at a pretty insane pace which made it chaotic but fun! Nice entry!

Developer

That sounds like the best way to play. The way we enjoyed playing most, anyways!

Submitted

Really polished game, I thought the presentation was well done. The gameplay reminds me of Ape Out but if the gorilla had a grappling hook, which is a welcome addition! I would've enjoyed more enemy variations but I still had fun, beat the game with an A rank :)

Developer

Sure, we would have had more content if we had more time. I'm glad you saw one of the inspirations for this game too!

Submitted

hectic action, cute art style, amazing levels of polish, very pog!!

Submitted

Feels super good to play, turning little guys into shrapnel after hooking is one of the most fun mechanics I've seen so far in the jam.

Here's a vod of me playing your game: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2372490353?t=04h33m07s
