Good job! Will come and play it more thoroughly, trying to get through a basic test run and at least give it a try! Trying to get to everyone I can!
Came back and did play this more great job 4/5! ALLIGATOR GUN! And Banjo Kazooie sfx
Hey there, I am trying to get other to re-submit their reviews for my game if possible...it was deleted and removed from the Jam on accident based on a technicality which was solved between the Jam Host and a particular asset used in the game...please if you have time, energy, and/or generosity to re-saved your ratings/reviews for the game. I am going through and re-saving yours given my browser kept your rating saved data on my end...but it looks like I lost all 73 reviews and ratings from my end.... :( best of luck to you in the Jam
Sorry for the inconvenience if you have a chance to rate/re-rate
A very cool game with its own graphics and style and the features it offers!
Absolutely amazing game here! Everything really came together to create a full experience : ) Loved the ambiance of the campsite, and the style of the low poly models had so much character, especially the models like the frog weapon. Also the music slaps!! it made the boss fights feel intense and a lot of fun. You should be super proud about programming those boss fight patterns each felt really unique. Awesome job one of our favorite games of the jam!
We here at BabuScience love this game. We are all looking forward to a full release
One of the best entries I played so far! Art style is awesome, lots of originality, very funny and good to play! Browser version got really, really laggy. I'll replay in a downloadable version soon!
Pretty fun and unique game, I really like the controls, they felt on point. Also the inventory system is something I really like, you can make specific playstyles depending on what you equip and I really dig the look.
Each boss feels very fleshed out and unique (I especially liked Ory’s final part). I also really like the retro visual style. My only complaint is that the exchange theme did not feel like that big of a competent in the game. Once I found a build I liked, I never really felt like I had to exchange anything to suit each boss. Also the browser build is kind of laggy.
Awesome game. Some of the best boss design I've seen in the Jam. Big fan of the art too. I wish I hadn't wasted time trying to play the browser version - it was almost unplayable. The downloaded one was good!
Dang this game's got so much personality -- I love it :D
Very snappy controls and great variation in the boss and level design (impressive given the time constraint :)). The PSX style visuals are on point, and the music is very good (I'm generally not a bluegrass fan, but this stuff is good lol -- adding the PSX-era drums/bass/synths definitely helps it fit in the context of an action game and I really like that sound). I did have some trouble playing it in the browser, but the desktop version ran pretty well for me (although the 250mb download did surprise me -- I'm guessing the largest asset is the sound files, maybe shipped as wavs? A compressed audio format like ogg would shrink the download and load times a bit if you're not already using them). Nice work :)
Amazing! One of the best I've played, you should be proud of this one. You should definitely keep working on this and give it a proper release, it has potential!
holy shit this is so f awsom 5 stars on all is so fun man will play this move is just wow
Dark Souls of the crab games. Amazing graphics and building system, this game reminds me a lot of the N64 style, polished gameplay and amazing bosses, I just feel a little inconsistent in Orstein and Smough's hitbox (I hit them in the back), and the poisonous swamp boss is annoying.
We’ll take a look at the hitboxes; it’s supposed to just be the butt but maybe it’s not as tight as it needs to be. Thanks for the feedback!
Amazing job with the polished visuals and really cool bosses! I love how unique all the bosses and environments are. I think the fov do with being a little higher but that's a minor gripe. Also I'm not sure if it's a bug or just not intentional but after being knocked down a few times from the animal charges to the center pole the boss would stop coming down, which I feel is a missed opportunity to get past that phase faster as a hidden shortcut. Besides that the bosses felt really well balanced and never felt like they were bullet sponges.
thank you for the feedback! It’s not a bug! and perhaps it was too subtle but at half health there’s an audio “nuh uh” cue that plays instead of the possum dropping (so the last phase can’t be skipped) but maybe this is confusing and it would be better if it could be skipped… anyways thanks for the great feedback!
This game is fantastic, the music creates such a cool vibe. I think the pixelation got a bit much, some of the bosses got hard to see but overall the visual style was so cool. Thanks for making this, I had a blast
Amazing and very well done! I love these inventory puzzle systems wherever they show up, and it compliments your game and the theme so well! The art style is great and the theme of the Bayou is incredibly fun. Wonderful work!
I loved the art. The bosses were great. This looks like the result of a lot of work. Good Job.
I really liked the concept and looks a lot, crunchy textures for the win! Probably my favorite boss was the one at the river because I used the harpoon gun and got to be constantly spining around jaja.
In terms of optimization it was a hit or miss depending on the bossfight (mostly played in browser), the snake arena in therms of design for me was a bit rough specially needing to look up almost constantly and damage or ammo of weapons could have been a bit high in general. Other than that this was a banger, would pay for a full release no doubt!!
Yeah we are definitely pushing things to the limit on browser! I think the frog boss probably has the most stuttering on the first play through. Thanks for sticking with it!
Amazing boss designs, its hard to pick a favorite even the simpler one for me(circus) has nice details and interaction, the snake boss second phase was very surprising, I like the way you used the shaders, the only thing is that windows unknown editor popups(you can just not embed the pck and upload a zip file) and the frog fight lagged a lot when I first played it, didnt happened the second time I guess I was faster, awesome game, good job!
So much in this game, and besides the loadout, scale of the game is immense! Fantastic job on the gameplay and replayability.
The only downsides, or maybe a personal preference, but the dithering is too pixelated and sometimes( like in circus) i cannot discern the boss with all that effects going on.
Very fun game!
Wow! Probably one of my fav games here! Amazing music, fun visuals and crazy cool animations
