Game is too easy for me, the game slow down when i hold space, All the bosses fell the same, i dont understand the exchange color mechanic, nice game, controls fells good.

This is a nice start with solid shooting mechanics. I would recommend focusing on trying to create different variations of boss movements and attack patterns to present more of a challenge to the player. On the technical side, I would recommend removing the slow-down on damaging the boss. as it just turns into a constant slow motion play experience. But great work, and keep at it!

Hey! I'm sure you know your game isn't really the most polished in this jam, but the learning that comes is the important part! I noticed that you used pygame, and though it's a VERY great way to learn game development and programming in general, I highly suggest that you look for a game engine you like. It'll let you make way better games much more easily. Great work and keep going!

Boss on hit is very questionable, I think you meant to make a hit stop/hit reaction, but it just ends up feeling like lag.
I think asteroids should've been used as a stage hazard, would've made the game a bit more challenging at the very least.

I only had a week but I wanted to get some suggestions from you people which will help me upgrade some features in the game

Nice game! I like the Music & SFX. I experienced slow-down when my bullets collided with the boss. I would recommend adding a shoot cooldown so you can't spray too many bullets.

Simple and intuitive game. As others have pointed the slowdown while shooting boss seems jarring while playing the game. The visuals are also nice. Overall a good game for a week's work

I thoroughly enjoyed playing your game; it reminded me a lot of the classic Space Invaders. The arcade-style music added a nostalgic touch that I found quite appealing. The artwork was particularly striking, especially the design of the bosses, although it would have been even more impressive if there were more variations in their models.
I did encounter a potential issue while playing—the game seemed to lag whenever the bullets collided with the bosses. Additionally, I noticed that the bosses occasionally took damage without any input from me; I wasn't sure if this was intentional or if it might be related to a timer indicated by the red bar. Furthermore, I accidentally discovered that pressing 'q' closes the application; I'm not sure if this was an intended feature or not.
On a positive note, I found the controls to be very responsive and intuitive, which greatly enhanced the gameplay experience. While the thematic elements were somewhat on the bland side, they still contributed effectively to the overall atmosphere of the game.
Overall, despite encountering a few minor issues, I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience playing your game!

1. The game lagged because I delayed 25 milli seconds per collision so that explosion is seen clearly.
2. Yes, there was a bug that the bosses got damage without any input. Its when your both lasers cross the boss after a little collision.
3. Pressing q ends the game was an intended feature because I had removed cross from game window.
That was cool. Although it lags when shooting too many bullets collided to the boss. Overall, I like the art and great job!

pretty neat! what engine did you use to make this out of curiousity? oh and i was dodging the background asteriods thinking they were projectiles lol
It's build in pygame and uses no game engine.
