this is my first soulslike

Fantastic visual design and animations, really impressive!

You really captured the Dark Souls setup here, but with a more cute aesthetic. I think the only stuff that would be nice are; sprint attacks could close the gap between the target, optimize the game (frames were dropping on my runs), and also enemy could take a breather after attacking. This is based on the first boss fight at least, as I haven't defeated Bonart yet. But other than that, this is one of the games that caught my attention and really wanted to try so good job overall!

The game is very similar to the first arena with the boss from Dark Souls 3. I would like to note its own cool style and good combat.

When i first decided to join the Boss Rush Jam  2024 i wanted to make a game like this.  A souls like boss rush game. But halfway through the jam i thought it's too big of a scope and switched into a simpler 2d project. So i love this game as a Soulsborne fan but also i am very envious of it.

The assets you created for the game are definitely beautiful. I dig the clay like  artstyle of the characters totally. Controls are also sharp and precise, almost identical to Dark Souls controls. You got the target locking, estus flask everything. But i think what really make the game great is the boss AI. You got the movesets, phases and everything. Especially the second boss was nail biting hard. It was so unpredictable to figure out it's next move. After i died and observed it's attack patterns i managed to kill it finally. Combat is real fun and challenging.

I got two cons about the game. One is you don't enter iframe when you dodge roll and attack and there is a bug at the second boss, when it does the thrust attack towards you, it launches forward too much, like at the other side of the arena, it even jumps 10 meters into the sky sometimes.

Overall this is one of the best game i played in this jam and i gave it the highes ratings. It's a superb job, keep up the good work!

The hitbox for some close range dodges doesn't work properly, the clay art style is amazing and with a little more polish it could be a great game. I also missed using the theme.

It was very souls like! I felt like the dodging's i-frames were a little off, but fun to play none the less

This is showing promise, and I do love my souls games.

Very tricky at first. Really glad you can move while healing!

Artstyle is really cool and the gameplay is good, very telegraphed attacks, easy to see coming and react. However the boss has a short window for punishing so it makes very hard to beat it. But overall very fun and polished game. Great work.

Yeah first boss has a very short window. I can only  hit it once after it's sweeping attack. It turns so fast and counters you. Too much rinse and repeat. Second boss was harder but you can hit it 3 times in a row at least

Such a cool concept! The graphics and visuals of your game are TOP-NOTCH!!! :D

Got a little stuck when was rolling on the graves, couldnt do anything after that... But interesting take on souls genre)

The game is really well done mechanicly and visualy! But i think the boss attacks too quickly between his sets, and never does subset of his moves, meaning most of the fight is waiting for the boss to stop attacking. A way to prevent this i think would be to allow the player to dodge WAY further, giving so sens of speed to him and therfor making him want to try to hit the boss even while he is attacking. Well done !

cool game bro

Very well done dark souls like game. I really liked the sound, and visual design. I struggled defeating the first boss. Maybe that's just a skill issue though.

This game is really good, but difficult. I had 2 friends and all of us took 30+ minutes to beat the first boss. that being said, we also spent 30+ minutes trying to beat the first boss instead of giving up so it is also very fun. I think the controls could be a little bit more forgiving but still a very good game.

This is so good! I'm in love with this visuals!

I love it. very similar to dark souls. love the skelly boi. though control feels a bit wonky, and cute art too!

I had a lot of fun playing the game! Coming from a Dark Souls background, I found the attacks a tad fast for newer players, but that aside, the art was cool and had a unique vibe. The music was top-notch, setting a great atmosphere. Although the bosses posed a challenge for newcomers, they were genuinely enjoyable. The theme, incorporating grafting bosses' clay onto oneself for improved stats, was a particularly unique and clever twist. Overall, I really enjoyed the game. Good job!

This was a pretty good souls-like. Art looks good and the overall gameplay feels good. I just think that the I-frames should start a little sooner as some moves sometimes were hitting me when the character was clearly already at the roll animation
