Really fun and polished game, how do you guys make this stuff in such short time :D I had a lot of fun beating all the levels, might have to try the harder difficulty too. Great job!

The gameplay is super satisfying !

Hello! I really enjoyed the increasingly intense progression and the brilliant interpretation of the spin theme. Fantastic work that feels quite polished all-around!

very elegant take on the theme - my favorite boss was sidecar

This game have such a creative use of the theme, despite that, it feels so intuitive to learn. That complimented by such well design mechanic. The overal feel is beautiful and harmoniously done, everything feels like it belongs in same game, same concept. The boss are also well designed, I love details like the transition to the menu screen too. Love it!

Absolutely zero complaints. I think this one's my favorite.

What can I say more? Eye-catching graphic, delightful music, gameplay that follow the theme but remain easy to understand and control, and well designed bosses. Awesome work!

I see why this is the most popular game! Its fun, its simple to understand, its pretty to look at, and it sounds great! I have played others here that I like more that are extrememly underpopular, but this is really good!

The jam difficulty felt very good for me, the visuals are fantastic and the music is cute! Reminded me a lot of Touhou.

Fun to play and a really coherent use of the theme. The controls aren't overly complicated but the game is still very creative with the gameplay and the visuals are very satisfying. Excellent game!

My scoring philosophy - All scores start at 5 points. Points are removed rather than added.

Stars :: Description
5 :: Lacks for nothing
4 :: Lacks little
3 :: Lacks somewhat
2 :: Lacks severely
1 :: Absent

My score for Vertiga:
Fun - 5
Boss Design - 5
Theme - 5
Controls - 5
Audio - 5
Visuals - 5

Comments -- I was trying to find any excuse to take points from your game, but couldn't. I was able to beat the game on Jam difficulty after several tries. I wasn't always sure what the player's hurt-box was, but it seemed forgiving. Your game wasn't my favorite, but it was good. I'm not a fan of bullet hells, but I'm damned by my own scoring philosophy. Yours is the second game I've given a perfect score. Good job. You deserve it.

This is really polished! Congrats, love the music and the art, and the controls feel really good (on controller, I haven't tried the keyboard), nice work!

This game doesn't look like a game made for a gamejam but a prototype for something bigger. There is so many things that are great. So instead of trying to list them I will focus on my concerns.

  • And my main concern its that it isn't a true boss rush in a classic way, where we have to beat all bosses, and death brings us to the beginning. Because we can jump from main menu from one boss to another, regain full.
  • I feel like the bosses could be a bit harder. There is a great learning curve from one boss to the last, but I almost beat all bosses on first try. Maybe a difficulty level witch one hit to death mode I will have possibility to spend more time in this game.
  • Controls are great on gamepad, but on keyboard they are a bit difficult, requiring time to adapt

And again, great game. GJ!

Awesome game, I loved the art and the soundtrack, pretty great!

Another masterpiece with a nostalgic retro feel that took me back to my NES childhood era. It’s a bittersweet feeling - melancholic, yet comforting. Great use of the spin theme, and I love the variety of bosses. Music and SFX are on point, and the balance is just right - winning with your last HP makes it even more satisfying.

The cocktail recipes could stay on screen a bit longer to fully enjoy the intro sequence. Margarita, though completely destroyed me :D

Spin responsibly!

Your game was really fun! I ended up having a little trouble with the controls because the ground didn't move, but other than that your game is really good! I loved the art, minimalist but very pretty! The sound effects fit well! Congratulations on your game!
