I was very pleasantly surprised with the dragon boss, at first I thought my hits weren't registering due to a bug, but the solution to the fight really caught me by surprise in a great way. Felt like I was playing a classic PS1/2 era boss fight in a platformer where the solution tended to be to get the boss stuck somewhere and then attack them while they were compromised. Lot of charm in this entry

The music is banger and the top controls very smoothly!
It is very interesting as well to use toys as enemies, toy story vibes.

good

I like the aesthetics graphically speaking, it reminds me of games like Human fall flat (a game that I really like) you really did a great job with that, the bosses are very well designed and they feel alive. A good experience:)

I loved the concept.

I like the original music! Its different than much of the bitcrushed songs. I also like the small character in a big space like this because I played Hot Wheels Beat That when I was a kid. This is pretty good :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I wanted to try something different than the usual bitcrush/chiptune songs and try to go for a more rocky feel.

This is really nice approach to this genre and theme, you did quite well, I hope you can complete this after jam. I also made a spinning top/beyblade style, have a look when you can if you wish

I really enjoyed the tone and environment for this one. The dragon defeat method is probably one of the most clever/fun approaches I've seen too.

Is there a loss condition that I missed somehow?

Developer(+1)

Maybe you're just that skilled ;)

Time ran out before we could add a fail state. Glad you had fun!

Legit pretty fun! The graphics and music have a pretty good vibe to it, and the dragon has personality, lol. Quite liked the method for defeating the dragon too! Could definitely use another mechanic or two to spice things up.

Developer(+1)

We wholeheartedly agree! The original plan was to have each boss unlock an ability that you could use to defeat the next.

Great game!

I absolutely love the fact that we are playing for a toy similar to bay blade. Special respect for the cool fight with the dragon! The graphics themselves are pretty nice and good, and the tracks are well put together.

I like the music and charm of the game. Is the dragon the second boss fight? I was looking for another boss but couldn't find it. Overall great work.

Developer(+1)

Looks like you found the hole we left in the first boss fight! Yes, the track at the start is the first boss. You're supposed to destroy the boosters, and then the boundaries are dropped.

Developer(+2)

Thanks! I enjoyed making the designs! the dragon and the Wheely Hot cars were the only fights we were actually able to add due to time constraints. (January was oddly busy for all of us) Wish we could have added more bosses, and a proper end state, but ain't that just the way?

Submitted(+2)

Nice work! I really like the music. The second boss is also cool - I appreciate a fight that makes you use the environment.

I was kind of unclear about how the first boss was supposed to work, though. I just sorta went up to the weak points and killed it - the cars didn't really get in the way.

Developer(+1)

We've gotten so much feedback going both ways 🤔 Some say they couldn't beat it. Some say it was too easy. We have a team of dedicated analysts trying to unravel this phenomenon. If we succeed we will consider the military applications.

I miss the spinning alligator... Where'd he go...

For real though I liked bouncing around some of the props. I think adding more movement options like a dash and some increased risk like a health bar would have made the game feel nicer. Also the music was really nice!! Sometimes when the game was receiving daily updates I would boot it up to listen to it for a bit heheh

Developer(+1)

Spinning alligator didn't make it into the final game ;_;

Please share with us a brief moment of silence to remember our fallen comrade o7

hey! nice work! btw I didn’t understand the boss weak point :\

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the honest feedback! For the race cars you need to hit the red boosters. For the sock/dragon you need to raise the portcullises using the purple gears. It should have the text "Spin" above it. I'll post a gameplay video on Youtube and make it available soon.

I do like the idea . but it was hard for me to win again the first boss

Developer

Was it too difficult? We're trying to strike a balance between fun and challenging. If you can tell us more about your experience it'll help us find a good middle ground. Thanks for the feedback!

Interesting idea. But for the boss rush, I think it was necessary to add health to the player, otherwise it would be impossible to lose. I liked the method of defeating the second boss. Well, there are not enough sounds, only music.

Developer

Glad to hear you enjoyed the second boss! Since a fail-state isn't a requirement for the boss rush we put most of our attention on making the bosses as fun as possible. Player death is the very next thing we'll update, followed by sound effects. Thanks for the feedback!

Really clever boss mechanics and gameplay :)
