Oh this was fun, great work! :)

Thank you for playing!

Reminded me of the old retro games! I kept on rotating every time I got hit and I loved it!

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed the spin-outs! Thanks for playing (:

Submitted(+1)

great work! would love to see this expanded further!

Developer

Stay tuned! It's expanding.

Submitted(+2)

Very nice, I like how you can't die and the penalty is just stunning your ship. If you expand on the game you could do some cool things with that idea! As some other comments said, holding down a button to shoot would be nice. The health of the city seems pretty generous, could be a bit more difficult.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! We added that auto-fire in the most recent web build. But difficulty is a more complicated issue that we plan to tackle with multiple updates

Fun game. I liked the art and sound design. Bosses were neat too. Game felt on the easier side, but that is good in a jam setting. Would be nice to hold a button down to shoot.

Developer

Appreciate your kind feedback and critiques. We're working on balancing the game now to provide more of a challenge.

Submitted(+2)

Iteresting idea and i like, that this game is pretty easy!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I liked yours too, felt like our games had very similar concepts.

I saved the city! Yeah!

There is a lot to like here.

  • Multiple unique bosses.
  • Neat pixel art and SFX.
  • Captures the fealing of the classic arcades very well, it was like sitting in front of my Amiga again (which is a good thing)!

If I could wish for some changes:

  • Auto fire (as suggested by others)
  • Background or an ambient track
  • make it more difficult!

Well done!

Developer

Thanks for the review and detailed feedback. Loved your submission as well.

This was very cool ! EXCEPT the hold mouse button for shooting, it would be great to have !

Developer(+1)

Appreciate the kind words, definitely have to add hold for shooting. That's been a popular suggestion. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I had quite some fun. I dont know if the player can die, but I took many shot and somehow still beat all the bosses in 1 run.

Developer

Thank you! The player ship cannot be destroyed, the game is over is when the city is completely destroyed.

Submitted(+1)

The art is great and moving and shooting with the ship felt responsive and fun. I like the design of the bosses. Holding left click to fire would be nice and some more sounds or different music with different bosses would be a good addition. Good job on submitting a game to the jam!

Submitted(+1)

Good game! Would be nice if you could just hold mouse button to shoot tho.

Submitted(+1)

Fun game! first run is a bit crazy but you get it quickly :)

Submitted(+1)

I was able to defeat all the bosses! The last boss was a big difficulty jump and tough challenge, but I was able to get enough shots in before I would have died! The 2 complaints I have are the controls feeling a bit clunky when trying to shoot and move at the same time, and the audio volume mixing was way too loud on the main menu, other than that, it was a fun game :D

I enjoy this game. It's interesting. I think I'm saving the world. It's a cool game!

Submitted(+3)

It's not too difficult or too easy to play. I like that we can protect the city and the player's space ship is immortal. So I use a missile-receiving space ship instead. Because if the player's space ship can died, I would have died many times. Haha. The graphics are beautiful in a retro style. It would be good if the player could shoot bombs or create energy shields.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for you kind words and suggestions! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.

Submitted(+3)

Nice work, you could adjust the controls and the player stun after the jam a little bit

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Thanks for playing! Yes, we could add a delay after the player ship is damaged. We neglected to add that feature in this build as we felt the bosses were pretty easy

Good job

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

Very cool. It's like a spaceship game but on an open map and with bosses.

Developer(+3)

Thank you for playing and commenting!!

Submitted(+3)

Polished, neat art, and interesting gameplay, bosses need some extra difficulty, goodjob overall!

Developer(+2)

Thank you for playing and giving feedback 🙌  Agreed, some bosses could use a buff

Just finished the game! I liked the visuals and really liked the music of the menu and the end screen, tho I was missing it while playing the game, would have been cool the put the music there also! Anyways, congrats on the game :D

Developer(+2)

Thank you for your response! We did have a track playing during the main scene but I believe it came across too quiet in this build. Will fix.
