How does your game fit the theme?
Warning - Spoilers ahead:
Our character suffers from a fictional condition that relates to memory loss and confusion. They must read their journal every day to gain their memories. When they read their journal they try to piece together their memories: this is simulated with puzzles and fuzziness. Once they solve the puzzle the pages become clear (they remember). Ultimately the storm is simulated by the growing realisation that is happening in our character's mind. At first they are calm because they don't realise what is happening to them (Ignorance is bliss). But as the moments pass they realise that they suffer from an irreversible condition and a sensation of loss and sadness hits them which simulates the storm.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes all code, art and music was made by us.

Graphics and sound are great and set the atmosphere really well. To improve it, I like the visual cloud effect but it might be done in a way that sort of obscures the text and things you have to do, making it harder to read and see what's going on. It's not too bad, but it's just something I noticed especially if playing it for a while. Overall I think you did a really nice job on the game!
The visuals and audio create an extremely cosy atmosphere, which fits the gameplay extremely well. The story is well implemented. Most of the puzzles are really fun to figure out as they're challenging enough to make you use your brain while also not being too challenging to the point you're scratching your head. First puzzle was definitely a brain stump though.
Still, this is a solid game 👍
I like the artistic direction. And I really like this kind of mindblowing revelations in a story ! The strongness of it is with no doubt the narration !
I didn't understand the first puzzle, even with the solution....
A simple and short game, but effective !
Good job !
Great ambiance, art and sound effects!
As everyone seems, I got stuck on the first puzzle :D, it's a little hard to start, but the other ones felt great. The game fits the theme, but the storm is not preset enough, even though in a way the whole game is the storm for the protagonist.
Great work, guys. Really enjoyed this, also liked the added effect of the "clouds" being there constantly shifting, like the person's mind is never clear, always clouding their thinking.
A very fun experience, a great and concise story to go along with it, great work :)
Really nice game. Love storytelling and the theme of the game.
I got confused at first puzzle (thought 2431 is right answer) and last puzzle (I wrote the name with persons title, so maybe I would also count this solution as valid one). But the other puzzles were great.
Artstyle looks nice as well. Good job.
Great game!Play my game too please:)
Oh my goodness I love this so much, it's so cozy but sad. Great job. The puzzles were difficult but rewarding. I really enjoyed this game, thank you so much
Thank you so much! :)
I do enjoy a puzzle game and I think your game is really high on the innovation scale for me! I think audio was also another strong point. I will say that I wish the overlay effect of the page faded spots could be toggled off. I have difficulty reading certain fonts and it was really important to be able to read the pages to solve to puzzles. To play I ended up having to screen shot the game so that I could read it all and solve the puzzles. I am sure that is something you could easily fix in a post jam build though. I think the game design of the different puzzles was really well done. Nice job!
Thank you so much! :) I added the fuzziness to simulate the confusion of our hero and also to make the puzzles more difficult. But I could certainly reduce the effect or just remove it all together if it's annoying to players :)
This was really interesting! I loved the 4th puzzle in particular, where you needed to figure out what each item did to the patterns. The story is interesting, you say it's a fictional condition, but it looks like dementia to me.
There's a really nice, cozy vibe with the art and music, but it doesn't really match with the tragedy the main character is going through.
The smudges on the pages caused problems on the puzzles, I couldn't see that there was a water drop on the grid in one spot so I placed one there and thought I was missing one.
Overall, I liked it, particularly the way the minigames matched the story.
Thank you for playing! The condition is inspired by similar real conditions like dementia, but I didn't want to misrepresent the real issues that people suffer from this. The smudge you are referring to was added on purpose. I made sure that the puzzle was solvable regardless, but I added it because I thought that it is a way to make the player be in such state of confusion. (Maybe you put something there and you forgot or you don't remember what it is in there in the first place). But thank you for the feedback. I might reduce or remove the effect all together in the future if people find it annoying.
Enjoyed trying to work out the puzzles. Appreciate games with text, to come up with a story is amazing.
I'm glad you enjoyed it :) thank you for playing!
Really cool game! I enjoyed the character and reading everything that was in the book. The puzzles were also pretty fun. The graphics also looked amazing. Good stuff!
thank you so much! This was the first time I wrote a story for a game and I had fun trying to find a way to connect it with the puzzles. I'm really glad you liked it :)
Entries that make everything themselves, or most of it, always get some extra plus points of course but you did a great job on the visual cohesion of it all so even more kudos! The gameplay didn't vibe with me that much but I definitely see the appeal. I think my partner might enjoy it so I will share it around :)
thank you so much for playing and for the comment! yes of course all of us have different preferences in games. I'm really happy that you are going to share it with your partner :)
nice colour pallet, good puzzles and writing!
Pretty unique
thank you so much!
Really nice game ! i loved the art and music, the ambiance was very chill. i wish there was some sort of hints in game, because i struggled quit a bit on some puzzles ahah. But overall i had a really cool time !
thank you for playing and for the comment :) Unfortunately I didn't have time to add hints in the gameplay since it's a jam. It is on my list to add them afterwards :) There is a pdf with hints on the itch page but I understand that it is not the best way to provide them to the players.
I played this with my fiancée and I should say, this is really well made! Making everything from scratch is inspiring! One complaint from us would be the "smoke" effect that happens when the character doesn't remember the page. Sometimes it blocks the essential parts of the puzzle (looking at the sudoku-type puzzle, column 1 row 2 for example).
I wish I will be able to create art like you people one day! Cheers!
Thank you so much for playing and the kind comments! :) I added intense fuzziness on purpose on specific parts of the page to make the puzzles more difficult. The example you gave is one of them. But I made sure you can find the solution regardless without even knowing what symbol is there :) The only thing maybe I should have done is to show where the items you move behind the fuzziness are.
Cool! I really like the kitchen puzzle!
Very nice puzzle game! The art style is really good and gives a good touch to the game. A part from the first puzzle (I want an explanation if you want) all the puzzles are well done and understandable. Good job!
Thank you so much for playing! I have a pdf you can download with hints. But I can explain it here. So the correct order is 2431 or 4231. But in each step there is an underlined word. So for 2 and 4 the word is the ingredients, for 3 is the containers and for 1 is the minutes. The ingredients of first mixture is 3, the ingredients of 2nd mixture are 3 as well (that's why the order for those doesn't matter), the containers are 4 and the minutes are 8. So if you follow the order 2431/4231 you get: 3348. Obviously is a hard puzzle since people are struggling, and might need some adjustments to help people find it easier :)
Oh thanks for the explanation! Maybe this puzzle can be put as last to avoid people getting stuck (or some hints in game, like a bulb) but it's a jam so it is ok to use the pdf.

Avoid using firefox if you play the web version.
Yeah, I haven't realised it was a tough puzzle heh. I wanted to add hints in the game but I didn't have time unfortunately :) Maybe I will update it afterwards. Also, I am currently playing your game heh! I downloaded it because it is lagging otherwise.
What an impactful game, and so very enjoyable. I loved the puzzles, they were really well made :)
If you've got time, could you check out my submission?

Thank you so much! I will check your game as well :)
i couldn't get past the first puzzle even though I'm sure I put in the right numbers. i love the art style either way and the calming music :D
Hi! Thank you for playing! The answer to the 1st puzzle is 3348. You can view the solutions on the itch page if you scroll down. Unfortunately, there is no visual/sound effect to indicate that you get the answer wrong (my bad).
