Cute! I loved the little touch in the menu with the arrow. The gameplay was nice, limited vision brought extra challenge to this kind of stealth game. The title and characters reminded me of the board game Root.

Art feels like a fairy tale and I love it. It's fun

Woah, what a great game. Nice sprites, fun stealth mechanics, and great level design. I had a fun time exploring the town and enjoyed the little details along the way (like the hidden bed).  It was great that you gave the player a vantage point. It really helped me grasp the situation and plan out my next path.  No war plz

aww cutest game i saw till now. Love handmade assets, and it really felt like a full ministory with a good bit of gameplay variation. The map design is also really nice (managed to shake off two guards in a suspiciously well placed looping path), and the watchtower system was pretty useful. Maybe with more time you could add in minigames for fixing the posters and talking (something like among us for example).

Tell me this was inspired by the board game Root!? :D I loved it, very polished short little game withh simple gameplay, but that makes it perfect for a game jam. Visually beautiful, music could've been played even more since it sounds really nice. I love how the small birds are as CCTV cameras :D I really have nothing to criticize here, it's just great!

Developer

Hahah yep. Root was indeed used as inspiration. Glad you liked it!

even though this fits the theme pretty loosely, the gameplay was super fun, and the story is surprsingly funny and wholesome lol. you'd expect a game about just fighting the owls, but no. You're a raccoon sneaking into an owl's base to replace the war posters. I love it.

If i were to give some feedback, I think there should be some more audio cues when you get caught, cause at the moment the screen kinda just fades out, leaving the player confused on what happened.

But still. I really enjoyed this game. Great job!

This was so fun and the story is SO cute, I loved this. I think it works well as a short story game, but I think introducing more mechanics could allow the game to be expanded a little more? Not sure if this needs more levels, really happy with what was there, a very fulfilling experience.

I feel like the owls ironically are very much blind lmao but yeah the way the levels were designed if they were any quicker at spotting you I think the game would be near impossible.

Great job!

I just got done making a review for another awesome game and then you hit me with this masterpiece! You could call it a champpiece! Okay that was a terrible pun. The stealth mechanics are great and I liked how fleshed out the game was. I saw in the game desc that this was a team effort - you must be very coordinated! I have a minor gripe with the game design: finding the owls to convince took up two thirds of my playtime because they move around often and have The story comics were fun! The idea is very unique and only this visual style could fit it - I doubt this would have been as good if it was vector or pixel art style. The story was well executed and the comedy was gold in some parts. Thanks for making this! I will share it with a few others to make sure you hit that 20 rating quota - you deserve to place.

What a lovely game. The music was fantastic, the drawings/animation/story were adorable. Enjoyed walking around the level. It remained interesting and I could imagine a world where owls were going about their daily business.

Appreciated that getting caught wasn't a big setback. Though I was caught many times, it never became frustrating.

A really cute little game! The visuals are the best part, for me. I wish the camera was more in the character's field of view, though. Overall, though, I really liked it. Good job! GL <3

Really enjoyed playing through this! Well done building a cute little world here with a story to drive the gameplay.
The art and music are great! Loved the dynamic audio transition for when you are seen, just wish it also transitioned back to the calm music when you lose their attention.
The various mechanics were excellent, loved the smoke bombs and ladders to give you a greater perspective to find the citizens you needed to talk with.

Great job all round!
-plz no war hahaha

Really appreciated the checkpoints for when you get caught. Finding the owl citizens to talk too felt a bit tedious

Lovely art and style, guys! I also liked stealth and vision mechanics and the fact that you have a checkpoint in the city if you were caught. Very good!

Submitted(+2)

Loved the art style and stealth mechanics. Great work! Congrats and good luck!

Great job! I really enjoyed everything, but it was kind of easy if you were to just put your light behind you and walk past everything.
