How does your game fit the theme?
In Tenacious Tempest, you protect your campsite from a series of storms consisting of hazardous weather events such as tornadoes. I took the theme both literally and metaphorically because that sounded fun and silly. You get prep time between each wave of enemies, which acts as the "calm before the storm" while the "storm" also happens to be a literal storm!
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code was written by me in Godot.
Some assets were made by me, but most assets were from LimeZu's Modern Exteriors asset pack.
Most sound effects were made by me in SFXR / BFXR, others were royalty free downloads off the internet.
The music track was made by a friend of mine, who has made game related music tracks for me before.

a great submission! Fits the theme really well and mechanics are polished. Some upgrades/structures could be nice in the future!
It's fun and simple, but It looks like it does not have some strategy on how to survive longer rather than do better. Good job!
The concept is pretty fun, and the hose mechanics work pretty well haha. I think it has potential to further develop the idea, and perhaps add new constructions to make it more dynamic.

Cool take on the theme! It was pretty fun to play. I would've liked to upgrade my leaf blower and build more stuff than just blocks, like traps, teleports, leaf-blowing turrets..
Really enjoyed the two different aspects of the game, building was intuitive and fighting off the storms with a leafblower was a cool touch. Music was a banger, great work! Congrats and good luck!!
A pretty neat game :). Just wished that I could also see the tent's health. Sometimes it could make the player be even more panicked lol

Awesome game! Got really hard after wave 3 but really fun and had a cool concept, great job!
It gets really difficult on storm 4 but I had a lot of fun! My strat was to place a billion planks in a circle buut didn't really work in the later waves :D I really like the mechanic though of being able to place the defenses it adds a lot to the game! My only critique would be to lower the difficulty a little, but maybe I just suck haha. Great job!
Na you don't suck, the balancing is just not refined yet haha. I only had a bit of time at the end to quickly set up some values for each wave that looked alright (like enemy spawns and stuff). Thanks for playing though, glad you liked the building!
Difficulty definitely ramped up after wave 3. Using the leaf blower mechanic was a lot of fun. I tried timing it in a way that it would disrupt the tornados' attacks. Great music and fun concept. Good job!

There were a few things I had in mind which I wasn't able to finish, so yes it's likely I'll add to it after the jam.
It was a lot of fun well done! Different building types would be really good. But still so good for a game jam project ☺
I liked how you have to think quickly when building where to put which type of barricade. I also liked that the game shows how many enemies are coming from which side.

The art is great, the game feel is nice and the gameplay loop is interesting. I love the audio as well. If you want to improve this game further, maybe give a few more buildings, specially some kind of building that generates gold once a day.

The design is simple and it works. Your character is literally calming the storm using the blowing (!?)

Though I should mention that cooldown of the ability is harsh. I would make it shorter or add some sound / visual indication when you blow for too long.
Thank you. Yeah the cooldown might be a bit harsh, didn't get much time to properly balance things. There should be a sound effect and the charge bar should go red when you blow for too long. If you mean a "warning" type sound effect that happens before that then yeah that could be good.
First of all, I loved the idea. There may not be enough gameplay elements (only placing barricades and using a leaf blower), but the existing elements work really well. I played the game a little bit, and blowing all the storms to the same side seems to be a decent strategy to survive.
Overall, a nice game to play!
It may be your first game jam, but don't let anything discourage you. We all become better and better as we develop games!
