How does your game fit the theme?
Stormy Herd embodies the theme 'Calm before the Storm' by placing players in a peaceful environment where they must manage and protect animals. As each storm approaches, the calm atmosphere turns tense, and players must act quickly to save their herd before disaster strikes. The contrast between calm preparation and the frantic rush to safety perfectly captures the theme.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all of the code was written from scratch. Some assets, like sound effects and textures, were sourced from free libraries, while other assets, such as the animal models and storm effects, were custom-made for the game.

Its good but an in game tutorial would have helped more. Such as displaying the objectives on the screen.
It is a good game, especially for the first attempt. I liked it!
Suggestions:
- It was a bit difficult to click on animals, hence maybe increase a collision box for selecting them?
- Either I misunderstood something, but sometimes animals escaped into a building?
- The goal was to actually move them into a building. I, mistakenly, was dragging them to a safe plot of land... hence the confusion!

Sometimes, I would successfully transport 7/8 animals from danger lands, but the game will state I saved 0/8 animals.Yes, the animals are trying to escape from the farmhouse, and your job is to keep them safe—just to add a bit of difficulty, you know! As for the 0/8, it might be because some animals managed to escape without you noticing.yes animals try escape from farmhouse you need to keep them save just for little bit difficulty you know, and you are talking about the 0/8 its meaby you miss animals that escaped
Oh... I completely missed this feature. I thought I had to evacuate them from a storm area... onto another plot of land. My bad!
Yes, you do need to! Some random islands have farmhouses, while others don't. If there are animals on an island without a house, you'll need to pick them up one by one and drop them on an island that does have a house. From there, you can either move them to the house or drop them directly at the door.
Excellent visuals, procedural generation is an incredible feat in 7 days.
Great work!
thanks for you kindness about my first game i really really appreciate :)
Beautiful visuals, moving the animals was quite challenging but overall the game was very fun! Good Job!
This game is adorable! The controls could definitely use more polishing, but the UX work required to get 3D drag-and-drop mechanics feeling great is an extremely difficult task :’) My main suggestion would be to give some love to an introduction to how the game loop works (a smaller set of islands, less animals, show me what I’m looking out for and how to win a round), and then more feedback for the most important info required to clear a round! Such as remaining animals alive, or time remaining till the level is complete. Still, great work!
Thanks for your feedback! This is my first game, and as I'm new to game development, I apologize if the experience wasn't perfect. I was really frustrated at times, but I still managed to finish it. If you're referring to the 'How to Play' section, you can find it on the bottom right of the main menu. Also, there's info of your stats in the leaderboard if you get enter, and when you lose a round, a screen will pop up showing your stats too. :)
Very nice looking game for your first one :D I like the idea of the game and the animals are cute! I do agree with others that some interactive tutorial would have made things more clear but it is a game jam so understandable :D
I struggled with actually moving animals while multi selected but I’m using a touchpad on my mac so maybe I’m not doing it right but I could move one animal at a time. I liked the tornado and when it would pick up and spin around the animals but I was not good at saving the animals haha. I wanted to though. Good job on getting al the systems working together
Cool game, though rough controls :D I had to try several times :D
Really nice first game! I envy your skills :D
I kind of wish you could move a whole selection of animals at once. I imagine it would be fun to just have a mass of animals flying towards a safe island.
you can just pick one animal at a time to navigate between islands but can move all within island rang.
Fun to play.
Fun and enjoyable game you have here. One thing I do appreciate is the little things you included like the scoreboard and pause menu bounce animation. Really adds that final touch to the game. Great submission :D
Nice visual and music man
For first game, really well done! Visuals are amazing, sure there is small things i can complain about but its normal for a 1 week game jam! ☺ Great work ♥
It's probably the controls, right?
Fun and creative gameplay with adorable visuals, but controls can be challenging at first. Clearer instructions and smoother mechanics would enhance the overall experience!
Also can you rate our game? THX!
was a fun little game moving characters around was tough but I had a fun playthrough
Thanks for your kindness and support on my first game—I really appreciate it!, Let me rate yours too :)
I love the idea and the style. But it was really hard to move the animals into the barn. I first tried to drag all of them into it without success then indidually - but in the end the storm was too much :D
I agree with some sort of how to play.
Great jam submission!
there is How to play in the main menu that you can check an also leaderboard if you want to get enter :), BTW thanks for checking my first game i really appreciate it!
Man,for a first game this deserves an imaginary Brackey's award!
Thank you so much! I didn’t expect this much kindness and support from the community for my game.
cool game, it was kinda confusing at first but when i got the hang of it it was really nice!
Overall, the game is fun, and the visuals are stunning. The randomly generated islands are awesome, although the controls are a bit difficult, and the 'How to Play' instructions were confusing at first.
Thanks for your kindness and support on my first game—I really appreciate it!
Kind of confusing and I had to check the how to play an even after I checked it I don't know if it's too clear what's going on, but once I got more of the hang of it the game was pretty fun, nice job on this!
thank you for your feedback its my first game so sorry for the bad experience.
Wow it's the first one, this is really good considering that - nice job on this!
thanks :)
Absolutely stunning! The level of creativity and innovation in this game is off the charts. Every part of it feels fresh and exciting. ;D
