Really fun game! I can't believe the art style :D
The art style of the game is really cute. I like the fence building mechanics. And also that there is a penalty for not planting the seedlings. However, it is too difficult to survive at the very beginning of the game, which takes away the desire to explore further parts. A progressively harder wave system could be developed, allowing the player to learn the rules.
This is a good base, keep it up!
a little confusing at first but a nice game overall. also a unique art style
Good game! It's very original and thematic, I like it. I was just a bit confused at the beginning how the clouds were hitting me even though I was behind cover 🤔 Overall, I really enjoyed it, good job for the game jam 👏🍕🎉🥳 !!!
Great Game! i especially loved the no-plant anticheat measure, the artstyle really reminded me of some really old android games too! (most specifically Droidcraft, among some niche simple rpgmaker games)
Wow! Nice game! I really liked playing it, the art style is pretty unique!
Loved the art style! Congrats :D
I'm pretty sure we're still in Kansas here.
Nice job! As someone from the deep south, it do be like that, haha. I like that the storms can come from any direction, so you have to time things and strategize somewhat. I only wish that there was a way to move faster or to sprint.
Cool game! I really like the concept and how unique it is. The gameplay is fun and it was enjoyable to have to manage finding fences and soil while also moving towards the house. Good job! :D
Rated your game on twitch, if you want to check it out check the twich link in my itch bio.
It was simple but enjoyable, I was a bit confused how to play at first but managed to figure it out on the second try. I think there should be a limit of how many pieces you can pick up at once, now you can just stock up on fences and be completely safe. The storm sometimes hitting from multiple directions at once would also be a good addition I think.
Cute little game, had fun playing!
The concept itself is a nice idea. I feel what would improve this game first and foremost is more polishing. A few things I noticed:
Overall this is a nice game with an interesting gameplay loop that fits the theme quite well!
Fun little game, I like the contrast between the calm and storm. Would be nice if the player was a little faster
Nice little game! i thought it was a bit hard... i wouldve loved to walk a bit faster.. but nevertheless its still a fun game./ well done!
such a cute game!
your art style is cute and fits it as well!
the only problem i had was the fact that the storm starts so soon and the player doesnt have time to plant, protect and go home (which i never got to it because it was miles away lol) and that got a bit frustrating...
overall, the concept was nice and if the gameplay was balanced out, i would have definitely enjoyed it a lot more!
This was a really cute game! I thought the art was very charming, and I really liked the idea of the fences spawning and interlocking like Tetris pieces. That's a really cool idea!
One quick thought I had is that it would be cool if the storms spawned and approached from different directions, instead of just coming from the right. When the storms spawned for me, I tended to just stack the fences in front of the patches of soil to the right so that the storms would all hit those fences first. This meant I didn't really have to create an interlocking fence as much as I did just pad against the storm to the right.
Awesome work!
good game and i love the art style :)
honestly, fun game!
