How does your game fit the theme?
To cover the theme, we made a player who is sacrificing , to fix something. Game have a simple mechanic, we have a limited amount of players, each one have a special skill, like :
Run faster, jumping, double jumping, not jumping... list continue. every time we sacrifice player we have a new one with new skills. A checkpoint to add anywhere on scene, will help us to reach easier the goal, a instant kill button for player, when the ability we have on player don't help us to reach the goal. Game is small, we had problem on the way, amin programmer was unable to join for 3 days cause PC had a Power Supply failure. but hey here we are with this small game.
We hope you like it. Thanks for playing

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

Pretty fun game but it was short. I understand that there were technical issues along the way.
But would like to see more levels of this game! Also you could have added a visual indicator of what skills the current player has.

Very cool idea. I liked playing it. I feel that the controls sometimes didn't respond well, but maybe that's the page's fault. Nice job :)

Nice looking game - I like the idea of using dead players to help traverse the obstacles! The space key stop working for me at some point :(

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing, is not a bug what you found, one of players have no jump, different colors different skills. I add a suicide button for player if press K (in case player ability's dont help, we kill the player and move to next).

Cool look to this and an interesting mechanic. I was very frustrated until I learned I could jump... think I'm still a bit sleep deprived from the jam😬

Developer

Cool. We tried to do something different. Thank you for playing our game.

Cool innovative idea - fits the theme very well. I had some problems controlling the player, but i am also not a platformer guy :D Good Job.

fun game and concept but there are bugs where i don't immediately spawn on death in the location where i saved by pressing L and that the player respawns before the needle getting in animation begins.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing, and do this review for us. We been informed about this , in another review, and will do the repair for the next update.

Submitted(+1)

Interesting concept.  I like how setting the respawn point jabs the needle into the new location - was really clever :D

Developer

Yes took me some time to figure out, i think is to slow, will need some adjustment in future. Thank you for playing

Good game with the squish squish sounds haha. I like the variety of players.

Nice and pleasant game, a little bit short but for a jam game is normal but I think if you just take away the fact that you can put the checkpoints anywhere it would make the game harder and therefore a little less short! ;)

Developer (1 edit)

True is short. Sorry for that we planed to do 3 levels, but bugs start to come out. :) Thank you for playing our short game.

Very nice Idea, it fits perfect into this theme,  maybe I've added some details like lights and screenshake or other plants and enemys. Great Job!

Really good concept and completly fits the theme.  Like said by others an indication for the skills of the different cells could have been a good idea but enjoyed the game overall :)

Really neat implementation of the theme!  I like the sound and visuals.  Some feedback for the game, possibly a slightly better way of telling the abilities and controls.  I lost a lot of cells in the first patch of infection grass.

Additionally the camera hung a little too close to the player (especially for vertical traversal) making it hard to anticipate hazards below you.

Overall great job!

Cool concept! I really like the idea and execution and the game was overall fun to play. My only feedback would be to either make the player a bit slower or the camera a bit more zoomed out since I found myself sometimes running and dying to things before I had time to react since the player is so fast :). Other than that really good work!

Glad you liked it!

Nice game! I wish there wasn't a count for remaining cells since you already sacrifice your time for killed cells.

Thanks for playing! the limit is there so the game gets more challenging
