Absolutely amazing! Your art (The cat pilot is so cute!) SFX and music were all top notch. The integration of the theme was really cool. I loved everything about this game! Well done!

Great game with the visuals and sounds :) gameplay was also good but the first part defenitely stood more out for me especially the enemy/character design. Gave you a nice rating! If you like to check out our game too! :)

I really love the different choice route you can take to heavily change the course of the game. The game was pretty hard too, 2 health goes away pretty quickly

Wow this is very good! I eventually got a fair fight with the boss and managed to beat it.

The game looks great and arguably sounds even better, I love the music. It controls perfectly and feels super good with all the right speeds of ships and bullets, appropriate visual and sound feedbacks for everything and exclusively cool sequences with the perfect difficulty for the jam for me ending with a satisfying boss fight.

The choose your own adventure format events are a pretty cool implementation of the theme. I like how the asteroid event consists in choosing the way I want to die, that's hilarious. During my winning run I beat the second level through mines which made it even more of a satisfying victory.

I don't know if they're intentionally hard to distinguish but I think that I wish mines were a bit more recognisable.

That's an amazing entry, thanks for sharing.

Its very visually appealing, but a lot of tiny things take away from the fun of playing it. One that really made it difficult was the movement speed of the player: as the base movement it felt a little to fast to move between bullets and a little too slow to move across the screen. I think having a fast speed and a slow speed if you hold another button would be most ideal. Another one is that some enemies would shoot you way past the point where could attempt to kill them. In shmups this is called the cuttoff zone or ceasefire zone.
I really like the ideas here, and the enemies have some very cool shoot patterns. The "choose your own adventure" aspect of it feels like a great idea for shmups, so kudos for that, but when it comes to the "shmup-feel", there is definitely room for improvement. Good job!

Amazing work! Really made me feel like I was playing a classic shmup game at the arcades. You really nailed the aesthetics and style for it. The game had very good readability too with the way you designed the bullets and patterns.

Loved the interpretation of the theme as well -- very creative! I will say that it also captured one negative aspect of the old arcade games... if I had to pay a quarter for for every playthrough, this would have been an expensive one for me! It's very hardcore. 2 hits and you're out seemed very harsh as I struggled to even get past the first level haha. Again, the "consequences" were awesome, like the asteroid field one, but then I died even faster! I would have loved to have a few Continues at least so I could get a little further!

Had fun playing and getting different upgrades/obstacles to try out, that kept me wanting to play again. I really enjoyed getting the drone addon. GG!

Really awesome in all aspects; gameplay, theme, gfx and music all work together. Great work!

Visually, the game is done very well. Music is well suited for pixel style. everything is fine in terms of management, but it seems the hitboxes are too big. Also, asteroids look like just a background, but they cause damage and they can't even be broken. I will be grateful if you play my game and leave your opinion.

Very well done! The art looks great and you incorporated the theme in an interesting way.

Super solid entry! Music gave me awesome NES vibes and the gameplay is essential SHMUP action.

Not sure if it’s intentional, but I like that it saves my progress across sessions.

I had to play full screen, otherwise my browser (Edge) would scroll the page when using the arrow keys. But I wanted to see the great pixel art larger anyways!

Awesome. Gets a bit repetitive after a few runs, but the shooting is very satisfying. Are there only 8 directions you can move? Movement on controller felt strange.

I'm really loving the art. Especially the explosions! Catstronaught is very cute.

In the heat of action, I found the mines a little hard to see. Maybe make em bright and red!
