Your work is amazing!! Great game play, cool retro style art and sound, every thing is perfect!
Wow, I didn't expect to hear perfect! Thanks <3
Great visuals, nice audio and music, interesting gameplay, well balanced, one of the best entries I played so far.
Nice one! Polished and fun
Your game is so much fun. The visuals are nice and the music is catchy.
Overall the game feels polished and has a great feel.
While I think the levels are a too long, others may enjoy the length.
Definietly one of my favourites so far :)
Thanks! I've gotten lots of comments telling me that the levels are too long and they're not even as long as the versions of the levels I play tested for most of development. Guess I'm not a good judge of level length 😅
I love your art style! Pixel art is very clean and is very well done, in my opinion!
The game is very fun and smooth, I had a lot of fun playing it.
Great work, one of my favorites so far!
p.s The seafox on the cover caught my attention at the beginning :3
I'm glad you like the art because that sure took a lot of time <3 Eau was worth it. Seems she's caught lots of people's attention and I'm thinking of sprucing up the cover art now that I have more time
I find this to be one of my favourite entries to the Bullet Hell game jam. The visuals and audio are so good - very high quality drawings/spritework. Everything fits together so well.
I'm very happy to hear it's among your favorites :)
congrats on finishing the jam! visually VERY cool game! and audio was nice too! the mechanics were intriguing but the game is tiny bit hindered by the slowpaced gameplay. but that's more of a personal opinion, of course! overall amazing job for the jam!
Thanks for all the compliments! I was pretty unsure about the gameplay. I wanted it to have a little difficulty but not be hardcore to appeal to more people since I was submitting to a second jam that'd probably have more casual games
Love the music and visuals! The presentation is definitely all there
Lots of fun to play, really love the sound effects and the cute bubbles!
Overall the game looks really good, the sfx are nice and the gameplay is simple yet fun!
Also I don't know if I did something wrong, but the music randomly stopped during gameplay :D
Thanks for the compliments! The music faded out for me too once. The music occasionally behaves funny on these web builds and the only fix I can think of is reloading the page
I tried to hoard some levels by letting enemies pass, but the game gets sluggish as the level continues. (because I played on web version I guess?)
Maybe this is the consequence of abusing the rule? :P
Thanks for playing! We'll call it a feature rather than a bug
fantastic shoot em up, feels really fun to play, the bosses are really well done too! I love it!
I enjoyed the whole thing. The main "consequences" thing of enemies that fire back when killed was one of my initial ideas (lifted/ inspired from stage 3 of touhou 15) when brainstorming for my entry before deciding on something else, but hey I guess great minds think alike lol.
Thanks! That mechanic is really all I could think of for tying into the theme
Some real quality placed into this. I like how this game felt more like a puzzle game with the bomb placements and would like to see more that. Also, the dive feature was a neat idea with how you were to avoid specific attacks.
One thing that seemed odd though was having to use my mouse to hover over upgrades when I could just use my keys to select between them.
(⊙o⊙)I don't know why it never occurred to me that I should have key presses as an option for selecting upgrades when I made an alternate mouse-free control scheme for combat. I feel silly now. Also, thanks for your compliments!
Really cool game! Amazing art and great SFX. My only problem is that it took just a bit too long to fill up your progress bar. But seriously, great job!
Thanks! Yeah, maybe it does take too long to fill the progress bar. I was planning to do some more testing while fiddling with the value it takes to summon the boss but ran out of time
Hey, your game is really impressive! The visuals are stunning, and the pixel art is top-notch. I appreciate how you can choose which level to play right from the start, making it easy to dive in. The art style, especially the character and robot designs, is fantastic, and the soundtrack is a real banger. The upgrade system is also a great touch, letting players choose which stats to boost. There were some performance issues in the web version, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. The game is a lot of fun, and the fox girl character is super cute! Great job!
Thanks! It's a shame the game has some performance problems but I'm not surprised since it's a hot mess behind the scenes. As always, I prioritized art more than the actual development part 😅. I spent even more time than usual on art so I'm glad you like it
Really nice game. Probably the best entry I've seen so far.
Cool game! Very pleasing visually. I appreciate that you can choose which level to play from the get-go, as I had a fun time learning to play on level 3 - after learning the controls in the tutorial, of course :). Some performance issues in the web version - the longer a fight lasts, the more the game chugs. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to beat the boss before the game became a bit too laggy. But I understand that for the best experience, I should download it, so I didn't let that affect my impression. Well done!
Thanks for the feedback! You're not the only person who has mentioned lag. Must have a memory leak somewhere that's more pronounced on the web build, whoops ( ̄_ ̄|||) If I update it, I'll look into it. Good to hear you liked it anyway
Solid entry, i’ve had quite some fun playing this one. I really like the artstyle, both the main character and the robot designs. The soundtrack’s a banger as well \m/ è_é
I also liked that the upgrade system isn’t completely rogue like with random stuff, but rather a choice of which stat you want to increase.
Cool game, good job ^^
Thanks! I thought of randomizing the stats at one point but I thought this would suit the game more. Also, the music is by Ben Burnes: https://www.abstractionmusic.com/. I used music from the Three Red Hearts album for this game and a few other jams. It really suits my pixel art
Good choice, cause i think sometimes too many rng based stuff in games isn’t the best. Cool i gotta check that album out thanks for the link :)
