the game was fun although a little generic. It was a bit frustrating when you get pretty far but then die and have to restart from the beginning,  definitely wouldn't mind some checkpoints. But if youre going for the idea of no checkpoints that works too as you can have multiple levels or something like a life system similar to a simple Mario game. that said the graphics and sound were really well done, same with the actual movement.

The game was fun and I think it was cool. I was trying to go out of my way and get all the diamonds but then I died and it totally reset and that was sad :( Then later on I got to a section with lots of jumps and spikes and I got killed by a spike that I didn't touch :( Ultimately I liked the game, I just had a couple very unfortunate encounters.

The environment and graphics were amazing. The concept was good and the level was fun to explore. The only thing that I think could be improved is the fact that dying was really punishing due to the slow walk speed and size of the world. Using some sort of checkpoint system or adding a sprint button could help alleviate that. Overall, amazing game.

liked your game a lot, great controls, environment, background music, sound effects. all around a cool game and easy to understand: platform your way through the level and collect as many diamonds as you can. neat submission.

very well-done game, very enjoyable to play. A lot of effort went into this and you can see it is a very well-done game controls are nice and it is responsive.

Wow, I am very impressed. The game feels very polished. It shows that you put alot of work into it. Controls and animation worked well.

Great game, animations and controls were very satisfying and gameplay was fun. Well done!

Super fun game, it reminds me of Castlevania.  Theme was on accurate. This game has great depth. Feels good from the start. Easy movement and great animation. Very spooky music and environment.

This is fun even for someone who hates platform games. The movements all respond as they should without being overly slippery or jumping oddly, really good job there. I only had a slight issue going up and down ramps/stairs, it seems you have to jump through them? I would have liked to have had some enemies besides the traps but that is for another time.

Wow this was a really fun game, and it just seemed like the map had more and more to explore! I died more than I'd like to admit to those pitfall traps. Wish there was maybe some enemies to encounter and fight instead of just jumping around. Overall you did a really nice job at this!

Great job, map looked awesome, felt polished and everything delivered worked every well. Idk if there was enemies or not, I admittly raged quit because I suck at platformers and want to give everyones game a run.

The map design was great, I would like enemies  I don't mind not having checkpoints it felt like a rogue like game to me, The map tiles, if picky maybe make it easier to tell what is passible and what is a collider some times I ran all the way to the end not realizing that it was a dead end because the map looked like it continued.

Great job overall

The music and atmosphere were top notch, along with the level design. I do think the music is a bit loud, but that is just my preference, a checkpoint system would be nice, but other than that it was a fun platformer!

Awesome level design, very reminiscent of the early levels of a metroidvania style of game! Controls were tight, challenges scaled well, and the ambiance was great.

My only suggestion for immediate improvement from a quality of life standpoint would be a checkpoint system of some type, other than that you've got a game that almost feels like an old style flash game, good job!

I really liked the thoughtful level design, great job with that! You knew the limitations of how high and far the character could jump, and built the level around those constraints very well. Stuff was spaced out well to fit perfectly if you committed to your jumps. I didn't mind the pits that tricked you from a "the main game mechanic is learning the stage" perspective, but without checkpoints, it did feel a bit cheap, especially on a run where I had like 28 diamonds already.

Some of the platform elements were a little hard to visually distinguish from the background.

Seems to be a bug with ramps, can't walk up on the start of the ramp, or rather at any point where the ramp tile begins. So the character will stop walking up the ramp seemingly randomly.

Clarity between what is or isn't a pitfall would be nice - having the tricked pitfalls felt cheap and not enjoyable to restart the level because of that (mainly the one with torches leading down into a pitfall).

The spikes on the sides of the platforms felt bugged? At least with its detection, felt I shouldn't have died when the spikes did not collide with me.

Movement feels good, but would like to see some other mechanic other than just jumping to feel more interactive.

Music and atmosphere were good.
