Fun game. Really liked the creative creature shape design you used. Gave each of different types of unit some character. Lighting effect looked great, as did the actual cards themselves.

For improvements, I'd suggest adding some way to counter clumps of ranged enemies. I found that if one side could get 3 ranged enemies up and running, it was game over for the other side. Maybe add an AOE creature/ability to counter this.

Overall, great submission. Well done!

I love this game. It is way too addictive and really fun to play. The visuals are minimalistic but it goes well with the gameplay. The sounds are also nicely supporting the whole vibe. The implementation of the theme in the form of secret cards is also very clever. Good job!

A nice game with very interesting mechanics. Artistic side I would have played much more with the shapes also in the environment because the effect of the shadows that the torches project is very beautiful. Nice work!

cool mechanics! i feel like the overall pace (animation, card interaction) could be a little faster. However i enjoyed the real-time strategy part of it. side note: cool shadow play when the creature was cast by shadows!

I had fun. Nice use of minimalistic art to get the job done. There was a minor issue that the ui to start the game didn't work after going through the tutorial, but reloading the page and skipping the tutorial got past that. I wish there were more interesting audio, but overall this was a little great deck-builder/tug-of-war game. Nice work!

Really enjoyed this! Tutorial was a little long and text-heavy, but the game play is really fun and the aesthetic is great!

Thank you! I playtested with some folks who hadn't played deckbuilders so I tried to err on the side of over-explaining with the option to skip the tutorial, but I totally agree about the amount of text. Thanks again for the feedback and kind words!

This is awesome! I love it. Simple art, looping music that fits in with the look and feel and very addictive gameplay. It started being easy but once I was waiting for my Torchlighter cards to turn up, that's when the pressure started to pile on. Would love an expansion deck where you have risk/reward types, e.g. gaining a card instantly but spawning two enemies. Great work!
