One of those games where I keep coming back to see if I can beat my high score. Great game
As an enjoyer of both the TD and bullet hell genres, this tickled all the right spots. I had lots of fun getting massively overpowered, but still having some challenges to look forward to with the wizard battles. Perhaps it would have been nice to be able to use excess power to make battles a bit easier? Art style was very nostalgic, would've appreciated a bit more idle music. All in all, a very solid submission!
Good ideas, good excecution. Love the animations. Could do with a bit of polish, but generally good job!
Really, really, incredibly good. Probably my favourite entry in this jam so far. I was always on the verge of losing, as a result I was really invested in winning the boss battles every few rounds. My only suggestion would be to make the icons a bit clearer, maybe the mana producer should have had beaker icon or something as I kept getting mixed up between that and the building that slows knights down. 10/10 would play again.

I really like how dueling has been integrated into the more traditional tower defense mechanics. Love the graphics as well :)
Pretty sick tower defense game, I like the graphics and the bullet hell part. I found a glitch where after firing the laser the audio kept playing endlessly
Ya I am aware of that glitch it has to do with firefox, and I cant fix it, similar things happen in all my games :(
It should not happen in any other browser though

For me one of the best in this jam! The C64 vibes are suuuper strong! At first a tower defense and then...the mage approach and BOOM! Bullet hell! Loved it! Great work!

Good innovation in a tower defense game
Fun game! The wizard battles were a nice way to mix things up from the wave defense, though I think they were pretty brutal when compared to the rest of the game. If you just tap the laser you can wreck whole waves while spending very little haha. Loved the pixel art.

Just finished the game - it's pretty solid! The wizard fight mechanic is really cool.
This game almost made me cry! It's so great! It instantly reminded me of the feeling I had as a kid when I turned on my NES to play Wizards and Warriors. The music and graphics are a fantastic throwback to the games I loved playing on consoles. Super great job!! What language/game library did you use to make the game?
Oh and I beat it having killed 4/8 wizards!

Ok, I spent way too long playing this. Awesome game. The laser sound effect got stuck and kept playing when I used the laser too close to the tower.
Hey Im guessing you were playing in fire fox? my software has an audio bug in that browser that I cant fix :(

A great tower defense game with a fun battling twist. well done.
This is a solid package all around! There's a substantial amount of polish to the point of a feeling of true "completeness" which I appreciate in a game. I do wish the game was less brutal in difficulty but found it otherwise very engaging.
Yes it can be very challenging, winning wizard duels and building energy generators are essential early game
