I'm impressed, writing a script would take me a while, and it probably wouldn't turn out this good! Nice job.
I got lucky and escaped first try ^_^
Aww thank you. The time constraint made it a bit tricky I will admit. And every time I turned around I felt like I was adding more or altering something on it. I think I finally finished it just before I uploaded everything. XD So, I def am thankful for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed!
What a good told story. At first I was like "Oh no, not a playable novel". But as I got more into the story I became more sucked into it and wanted to find out the end. I even played through all the endings. Very good written and very nice visuals. Good job!
lol well I'm glad you found your oh no went to oh yes? ...LOL XD I'm glad it could captivate you as I tried my best to make it as exciting as possible. Thank you so much and I'm glad you gave it a shot!
I really enjoyed searching for all the endings! It was a great experience, the game got my attention well.
Glad to hear it! Thank you :)
Really well made, and the story was great!
Nice game.
Nice stuff! I didn't make it on my first attempt, but I got free eventually :) Great choice for background music as well!
Awesome! Great art and sounds , and the mechanics give a visual novel feel , I enjoyed playing this one! congratulations! keep it up!
We survived!!
Enjoyed the story and it was presented in an intuitive and with good atmosphere.
Thank you.
Great innocent story and atmosphere
I love chose your own adventures and this one is wonderful!
Nice story. I love the aesthetics and the atmosphere
Thank you so much! Played and rated yours!
One of the most engaging story experiences I have played in the game jam submissions so far! I loved trying out the different choices and endings. The art was beautiful and sound effects really immersed me. I was also impressed by your accessibility options such as the speech voice option that was so cool! I was about to say your team is really suited for this style of game and then I see that you are a solo dev *blinks eyes rapidly* Amazing!!
Pretty good. I played to get all endings, at first I couldn't die, picked all the right paths by chance, then I died constantly picking all the other paths haha.
Good work!
Thank you so much! Played and rated yours.
I have heard of RenPy but this is my first time playing a product made from it, very cool. Great accessibility options, surprised to see save/load options in a gamejam.
Story was very well-written, gripping. I made my way out by sneaking past the witch! Play length was scoped well for a game jam too.
Smooth playthrough, no bugs. Plenty of art assets too! Must have taken a lot of effort!
Solid entry!
This was our first visual novel game as well, and we quite liked it. The immersion was awesome. Nice job!
Wow, this was my first visual novel game! And it was pretty neat!
As just about everybody has said, the art and atmosphere of this game was great! Really good job on enforcing the feel of the game!
Awesome job, very well done!
Dripping with atmosphere- got mauled to death by a zombie 10/10
only thing I would say was the scream SFX were quite loud and sudden! they make good jumpscares but also quite unsettling, which I guess is a positive when you look at it!
Good writing, better atmosphere and good use of audio- well done!
It took a few tries but I was able to escape The Witch's Grasp! Fell into a few traps along the way but I liked how I was able to get right back in there. A well written and engaging story and the atmosphere created by the sounds and visuals were excellent!
Nice job!
Thank you, fairy god-owl, for helping me save my sister!
Great atmosphere, it felt very tense for a visual novel. :) The sound effects were also very well done. I managed two successful escapes and two failures.
One thing I noticed...
It feels like there's a line missing here. Sister's talking as if responding to something, like if Brother said "You're/We're safe" or a similar sentiment.
LoL I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I know -- finding a free fairy was found to be impossible, but that owl worked almost perfectly so she was chosen lol 🤣 glad you liked her!
As for typo, yup it does seem a little weird! I saved this via screenshot and will add it to my fix it report for after! Thank you so much for seeing this. I've gone through it so much I feel like I'm blind to any mistakes anymore. I had to have like 2 others go through it with me before we submitted it lol 🤣
Thank you again for playing! 😀
Wow congratulations on your first jam. You all did so well. The art and environment is amazing along with the music and sounds. I can tell that the scream is actually of one of the team members and not AI generated. I managed to get two endings. I'll definitely try to get every ending later just for the sake curiosity.
Thank you so much for your feedback and your enjoyment of the game! I'm so glad you liked it. Thanks again! :D
