Very solid game! I really enjoy the art style and atmosphere of the game. I think my main issue was i couldnt find the boss. I tried twice and combed the map but nothing was there, so I am a bit confused. Also I think shortcuts 1-5 for the weapons would be great, I instinctively tried and it would make it easy to pick a weapon. Couple of other minor feedback points the hearts stop following you when you dash, it would be nice if they retargeted to you, and I did get stuck in some of the trees/rocks. BUT, I think the game was great, just wish I could play it further, I really did try to find the boss when nothing was spawning! Good job though! ^.^

Thank you so much for your comment! We have made a list of some changes to implement after the GameJam, and we are going to add the number keys as another way to change weapons. Additionally, we will add a cursor or something to indicate where the boss is. If you want to try again, the boss is in the middle of the map when you pass the bridge. Good luck with the rest of the GameJam!

Neat game, I died very quickly since there's no way you can dish out enough damage vs how many enemies spawn.

Thank you so much for your comment! You need to find your own gameplay strategy. You have the freedom to use whatever you want, but if you pay attention, goblins die with a fireball, bats with one hit of the bow, and skeletons are the most tanky, if we can say it that way. It's up to you to decide your strategy. Good look for the rest of the Jam !

Great job! It's a really nice take on the vampire survivors genre.

I wish that you can switch between weapons with hotkeys though (1-5) on the keyboard since scrolling using a scroll wheel feels a bit cumbersome (scrolling also seems inverted? could be just be me though).

I'm also not quite sure the difference between each weapon, would be great if each weapon had it's own role from the start of the game! (swords would attack faster but shorter range, maybe bows can be charged for piercing through multiple enemies, & staff would deal AOE damage, etc). Also quick switching between weapons would be a welcome addition for a faster more frantic gameplay since currently there's a slight delay where you can't attack between weapon switching (which kinda discourages the whole weapon switching mechanic)

Overall it's a pretty solid game so far, would love to see tweaks to the formula, great job!

Thank you so much for your comment and appreciation. Yes, we have a list of small changes to make after the Game Jam, and we are also going to implement hotkeys 1-3 to change weapons. Regarding the scrolling direction, there was a debate within the team. Some teammates felt it was more intuitive to change weapons by scrolling down, but when we looked at other games like Vampire Survivor, they scroll up!

About the weapons, you need to fill the blue bar to get upgrades. In the upgrades, you get more damage, ability haste, and boot speed. Each time you upgrade your ability haste, your weapons acquire fun characteristics. Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback. Again, good game! I hope you get more visibility because it is a very good but underrated game. Good luck!

Nice work, as others said the weapons can feel a bit sluggish to use due to the long cooldowns, but aside from that it's a really polished game. Well done!

Nice approach of the last stand theme!
Enjoyed the fact that it plays like vampire survivors but you have to actively attack!

An interesting approach. I also found it a bit difficult to play because it was sometimes unclear when and how the weapons would hit. The music was fantastic and fit very well. I also really liked the artwork, which created a nice atmosphere.

Nice game! Liked the sound and the aesthetics. Found a bugg though when dashing I got stuck in on of the obsticles.

Good job on your game! It's fun to play and the aesthetic is really cool. I wish the weapons were a bit more responsive, and it seems changing weapons can result in a long wait until you can use it. It would be nice to see a story element when you lose. Great work!

Nice game! It was a bit difficult to play at first but soon got the hang of it, the most impressive feature was how the arrows deflected from the obstacles.

Nice game. I think the artwork is really well done and I like the music choices. I like that the foreground elements were made transparent as to not obscure the player character too much. I liked using the mouse wheel to quickly cycle through different weapons on the fly.

I did find the combat too slow and sluggish due to the high cooldown of your different abilities. Having an ability or two with shorter cooldown would definitely help make the combat more fluid. I was also unclear of what the little pill-like things I was collecting were doing until an upgrade screen popped up.

Also, I encountered a bug when I dashed against a wall on the right side of the map and got stuck until all the enemies killed me, lol.
