I really liked the starting sequence. There were several other "last shop stands" entries, but yours might be the only one I've seen detailing how we got here. The tutorial setup was also very well done. I was off preparing hotdogs like a pro without being lost.

By day 2, I was pre-preparing hotdogs while waiting for customers (since I only had Relish unlocked, the base ingredients were always going to be napkin-bun-hotdog. The plateau did drag a bit long as the amount needed for each upgrade was quite high. Perhaps for the context of a gamejam, the costs can be lowered so players can try the full range of what you coded!

I even saw that you have different levels as unlockables, giving different profit margins! A lot of effort must have gone into it.

Overall, a really solid entry. I had fun playing it.

Nice story and well executed.

I found it a bit difficult, to try and read the tutorial text, while trying to make the orders, and then missing the orders because it went away before I could actually read it and made something random.

Thank you!

You can click on the customers to see their order again :)

Oh, cool, nice.

I felt nostalgic :) Good job!

That's excellent, so much content and well delivered. I had a couple of issues deselecting items but I reckon that might be the webGL. My poor addled brain was scrambling to remember the orders, giving me a sense of the panic I'd get if i was doing this for real :D Well Done!

Great job on this! Congrats

I thought the story in the beginning did a really great job setting the mood and the mechanics worked pretty well, nice job on the game!

Really cute game. Love your take on the theme and great sound design! Very cozy.

This game has way more content than you would think! I like how you implemented upgrade progression and the creation of hotdogs was satisfying ^.^ - the only feedback I have is sometimes the fluidity of creating hotdogs was slightly jarred, for example I would try click and drag when it's wanting just click + click. I feel click to drag things around would give it a better, more fluid feel but it's a small small thing! Awesome game :D

It's such a cool game, I played for days! :D I loved all the little details and intricacies, like the cost of ingredients, and reputation and the changes of location. The atmospheric sounds and the people talking were so cute! So inviting and pleasant. Super cool :)

Someone with the same interpretation of "last stand as me"!
This was quite cute, and very well filled out. Loved the art, story, sound. Very well rounded for a game jam. Good job!

The people talking gave me hollow knight flashbacks and the intro story was great. Good work!

I had so much fun playing The Last Hotdog Stand! Taking customers’ orders and making hotdogs was super engaging, and unlocking new ingredients kept things exciting. Great job on creating such an enjoyable and addictive game—keep up the awesome work! I also liked small details like making customer more annoyed if I didn’t remember his order and had to ask again.

I love how this city had a hotdog stand each 5 meters ahah!

Really great game!

A cool twist on the theme- something really soothing about these kind of cooking games-

only comment is I tried giving people a bowl of raw onions and the game wouldn't let me, which was a little bit dissapointing!

Otherwise very nice, tight experience, with lots of gameplay features (upgrades, locations) for a jam game, well done!

You had me at "Hotdog empire"

Very reminiscent of the cooking flash games like the Papas series, or that one coffeeshop or lemonade stand flash game.

There was quite an amount of depth to the game that I wasn't expecting.

The initial start to get more money felt quite slow, so I had to stop my playthrough 25min in or else I'd be here all night.

Good job!

OMG I LOVE THESE TYPES OF GAMES!

I used to play tons of cooking games similar to this & I loved every single one of them, including this one!!! I love how simple everything is while keeping it engaging, there seems to be tons of content in the game (tons of ingredients to unlock & new areas to visit, pretty neat!) defo would play a bit longer after this to unlock everything. Also there's a save/load system?! Aight 10/10 score from me. The only thing that in my opinion could be improved is to add icons to the ingredients, it feels a bit bland at the moment.

Would 100% be playing more after the jam (gotta finish rating other people's games first XD), Incredible job!!!

Very cool game, with a real hand-crafted art style. Relatable, fun and with a nice  sentimental feel to it. Good job!

I am just... terrible at these types of games. Just getting through the tutorial portion I made two customers angry with me! "Yes, hello! We have hotdogs in white buns. No, we will not be offering whole wheat, non-gluten, vegetable alternatives, onions, chips or any of that stuff! You may have ketchup and/or mustard and, maybe relish. Good day, sir!"

One problem I had was that sometimes I'd get stuck holding a tray and it would be very difficult to put it down. All the other problems come from my lack of ability. :D

I had a good time playing. Good game.

Excellent game! Nice story at the beginning, concise art, music, sounds, save system, unlockables, different venues... It's super packed with features! An awesome accomplishment for a game jam, congrats.
