The game looks and sounds fantastic! The gameplay is fun but can feel quite unresponsive at times as I press the attack buttons but nothing happens.

The tutorial is extremely confusing as I tried switching over to an xbox controller when it talked about pressing the A/B buttons to do things, but it turned out that I was supposed to press entirely different buttons on the keyboard.

Developer

The controls were listed underneath, it was to maintain a gameboy feel, it was a workaround mentioned in a discussion in the discord

It's looks really good, but the gun mechanic don't seem to work. I held the A button like it says, but nothing happens. What ?

Developer

You need to hold A for a short period of time like the text says. Remember that A means X on the keyboard

Also, gun is for detonation so you need to have bombs placed down first

Loved the experience, how you play with changing the music when not fighting and how everything reacts and explodes, etc. Didn't completely like the delay between the attack and the action itself,

Wow! Great over-the-top style of animation! I love it!

It's SO juicyyyyy

I really enjoyed the beat-em-up feel of this game.

This was a cool little beat-em-up and I loved the dramatic combos you could get into with the shroom guy. I think he could have been a little faster and some different types of environmental objects would be cool!

Very stylish! The impacts feel so satisfying!

Took some time getting used to attacking with dash, and I do appreciate the very clear enemy attack anticipations.

Awesome game!

Love this!! The impacts are incredible!!! I think I do agree with Retrobeat about the rotations... I know it's a stylistic choice, but for me, it brought down the appeal a little bit... as you lose some of the cool looking art in doing that, but the way you handled the colors and the overall feel and explosions is so awesome.

Great little beat-em-up. Not entirely sure how I feel about dashing being your attack since it becomes a little hard to be able to dodge when you want to dodge and attack when you want to attack, especially when you have a lot of enemies thrown at you at once. Although that's what the explosions are for lol. Great feeling of impact on both normal hits and also the explosions. I could really feel the juice lol. Don't know if it's a bug or not, but actually trying to cross the bushes by dashing through them caused me to get injured every time. Don't know if it's a bug or there's something I'm not really getting. Either way though, great little beat-em-up

Super satisfying explosions and impacts! Everything feels nice and weighty. I really dig the colour palette and general concept. I do think the sprite detail gets a little lost with all of the pixel-perfect sprite rotations, so it's a little hard to make out what some sprites are when they're in motion, but other than that I really like the aesthetic. Nice job!

Loved the gameplay! Great sound track too. Only gripe is the 4 colours thing as it changes per level

Developer(+1)

I mean, they did say swapping colour palettes was fine as long as there was only 4 colours onscreen at a time...

Oh I missed that. Re-rated it up
