I loved the hand drawn art style of this game. Lots of work and very cohesive. A suggestion to consider for future versions: it might be fun to spend some time on the itch page itself, try some other fonts, maybe some embedded screen shots, that sort of thing. Good job!

Love the art style, really nice job :)

Amazing art style, one of the coolest looking games in the jam. Nice job!

Very adorable art style, simple but well done level design as well! I think the camera could be zoomed out a bit, because it was difficult to see obstacles without some trial and error. Loved the implementation of "network" though, some strong potential to build off of there.

The artwork is really great in this game. Was hard to see where I was going, but I had a lot of fun playing.

I love the art and animations. The camera could be more zoomed out, but the movement is really smooth. Nice entry!

Really nice art, I like the hand drawn style.

if ori was a weasel :D

Nice one ;)

The artwork is beautiful and your weasel character is really awesome. The environment is well put together too but I think the tiles could flow better. I liked being able to move the camera up and down but there were times when I wished I could look further right.  An idea could be to have arrow keys to handle the camera and WASD for all of the movement. Spoiler - I managed to get to the end of the level and loved all of the butterflies :)

Very cute hand drawn style. Great animations on Walden. Every jump felt like a leap of faith, luckily gameplay is not that important this round. Looking forward to seeing your work in future rounds.

I love the style! great art and animations. i felt the camera was a bit zoomed in for the platforming so i was just blindly guessing where to go, but overall i really enjoyed it. I hope you move on to round 2 so you can keep working on it!

I really love your art style, and the animations for Walden are really fluid. I think the network modifier with the roots could have been expanded on further, but I enjoyed playing this, and loved the concept! :)

Love the art syle idea. Platforming is a bit hard due to the low view distance so it feels a bit random. Good job !

Very cute, and I highly appreciate all the hand paintings for each frame, it comes together really nice! Platforming controls could use some work e.g. not knowing where to go and just having to fling myself blind - but hey, that’s not the purpose of this round of GDKO, so no points off from me for that. Did notice a couple non-tiling areas/seams.

Looking forward to seeing the “spectacle”. Also agree you could probably do more with the world and the roots/lights and less of the platforming, could be interesting.

The art is beautiful. I would've liked to see the root networks utilized a bit more often in the levels, but such is the way with game jams and the limited time we always have. Great entry and best of luck in the round!

The painted art style is so cool. Really good job!

I love the painting look. The run animation and leaves are really nice too. I did notice in some spots the tiles don't have a smooth transition from one to the other. Also might've been cool to have some kind of animation or particle effect when you bounce off the flowers. Overall really great!
