The actual shooting part of the game was probably the most lacking compared to the rest of the game. Ship upgrades and different ships entirely but in the end the gameplay is just hold mouse 1 and spin around to kill enemies. The graphics and audio were simple and served their purpose well.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Currently, I am working on remaking the aiming and firing mechanics, since they feel too simple

I really liked the top down shooter mechanics with the upgrades. This is a really good game. Good work!

I like all the different upgrades and being able to zome out or in the camera as I lke. Only thing I could suggest is having a little margin between the UI and The corner of the screen

Developer

Thanks! The UI would definitely look better if it was not squished against the border

I went with a missile build and after maxing both missiles and attack speed the game can't keep up with the missile spam lol

Very fun entry! Would love to see more :D

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! I should probably limit the number of missiles that the player can fire

Such a good game! It was very fun!

The only drawback was the controls, but once you got the hang of them it was so fun!

WELL DONE :D

Thanks!

This is a great entry. It looks fabulous and the “juice” feels just right. I think the “auto aim” may be a little overpowered as I felt myself just having the RMB pressed all the time. Maybe limit it somehow? One thing that I would also suggest is to scale the background when zooming out the playing field, otherwise, solid entry. I wanted to mention that I actually started with a space shooter very similar to yours and I even had “tank controls” like yours. I also experimented with mouse aim but also removed it in favor of something much simpler. I’d love to hear your thoughts on my control scheme.

Developer

Thanks for your comment! I agree that auto aim is too powerful. Maybe I will get rid of it and instead add a small amount of aim assist

I liked this a lot.  Especially loved being able to zoom in and out.  I hope you get to expand on this and I get to play it again.

very cool idea it really aligns well with the task and well executed i gotta say
the way our camera follows the aiming of our ship is very cool, it really gives you the dynamic feeling of controlling a ship and aiming a shot
overall this is awesome would like to see this to be developed further!
no i didnt play this 10 minutes straight and role play as darth vader while shooting the enemies
a star wars themed ship would be cool tho

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'll certainly consider adding a themed ship
