Interesting take on the side scroller jumper genre but the the lack of checkpoints really killed all interest for me. I don't know how far I got but falling and resetting to the start was annoying because the game is quite slow. The graphic were simple and didn't really seem to be the selling point of this game anyways.

Developer

I agree with what you say  and I appreciate the honest feedback.

Tough platforming puzzles with these mechanics, this is a really fun game. Well done, I'd like to see you develop this further.

Developer(+1)

Thx for playing, we'll see if I work more on this project.

I really liked how well your mechanics went together!  They were two very distinct mechanics that meshed super well.

Developer

I glad you liked it!

The swap mechanic reminded me of Crash Bandicoot 4. Switching back and forth between modes mid-jump was kind of difficult 😅

I think you could do some cool stuff with this.

Developer

I'm glad you liked the mechanics!

Love the mechanics and "mechanical twists", I think it has a lot of potential once the physics are refined!

Developer

Thx for feedback, on next game I will test and make better physics :).

Cool mechanics

Developer

Thx for playing :)

Very cool concept once I figured it out! :D
You did a good job!

Developer(+1)

Thx, what would you think is a good to explain the mechanics?

Submitted

Maybe add some more visual ques when you get the abilites. Cause atm I didn't realise it made a difference when I picked them up. Untill I spammed some buttons and figured it out..

Otherwise very nice game!

Developer(+1)

Haha, probably the way most figured it out.. Thx for the feedback, I'll defenitely remember this for my next game!

I like the idea behind this a lot.  Being able to double jump only when in light mode was fun.  But, I also found this really hard (even at the start),  I wish the jumps were easy to begin with, then as the levels progressed and we got more skilled, they could get harder.  Of course, it could just be that I'm terrible at platform games.

Developer

Great feedback! Yes, I know. The problem is that Im new and this is my first game jam and I have a lot to learn. I completely agree with what you mean.

Submitted

It's all good.  I'm new too.  Honestly, it's my number one comment for most of the games - they are too hard at the start.  The developers know their games, but for the players, we need a chance to learn and get good.

Developer(+1)

Completely agree!

hi nice game feels comlised but the only thing i didnt liked was that the jump was realy slow like in slow-motion

but apart from that looks good

Developer

Thx for the feedback! What do mean by slow, like the jump cooldown is to long or the jump speed is too slow or is gravity too low. I appreciate honest feedback.

Submitted

gravity,falling

Developer

Ok, good to know.

I wasn't sure how it worked at the beginning, once I understood that your light mode could double jump and you had to unlock the dark mode in the level I got the hang of it. Very cool mechanic, once I understood it!

I also saw in another comment that this is your 2nd ever game which is really impressive, well done!

Nice job!

Developer

Thx a lot! The explation of the game is wack but that is one of the things I learnt from this project :)

Submitted

Solid mechanic, I like how the game uses the mechanic to switch between light and dark for the challenging jumps. If you made the contrast between the dark tiles and the background a bit better it would be easier to plan out jumps and a lot harder to get caught off guard when you're in light mode

Developer

Sure! Thx for the feedback this is my second ever game so I'm trying to learn as much as possible :)
