Very fun game and the visual effects are great, especially when you crash. I agree with what has already been said about the controls and it would make a massive difference to the gameplay. Nevertheless, I managed to get a high score of 11. I like how the enemy UFO can fly on a diagonal and all of the interactions with the asteroids are really great, overall a very solid entry

Visual elements are good and mechanics are good fit to task, congrats! I found controls a little bit confusing bc it is unusual and I am not sure how to use pulling beam because asteroids didn't damage the enemy. Still it was enough to be good!

Hi thanks for playing my game, and for the feedback. Asteroids do normally bounce off the enemies however if an enemy UFO crashes into an asteroid which is locked in place with your tractor beam then it will destroy it, this is easier to accomplish when your score is low and by zooming carrying an asteroid, just be careful though not to use the tractor beam for too long because asteroid can crash into you

The best I managed to do was to shoot one ship, I mean they are so good at shooting and I'm not very goot at positioning myself cleverly. But I like how you can't choose to go backwards, and how this is basically a game about multitasking simultaneously with asteroids and aliens. Good job!

Like others have said, the controls were the biggest issue. To me at least the physic object rocks looked a bit wonky when just bouncing off of other objects. Maybe a bit too loud for my ears, but that is just a preference.

Others have said this too, but intuitive controls would help!  All in all though, I thought the movement was fun and unique, and it had solid potential!

The explosion effect is cool. Using S to shoot is quite counter-intuitive. Was it chosen that way intentionally? It makes the game quite challenging. Since the tractor beam can be used to hurt yourself I found it easier not to use it, and I ended up not using it at all. My top score was 7:

I won't lie it is a hard game and it gets harder as your score goes up. The asteroids will travel faster and the enemy UFOs get better at evading. Seven is a very good score especially considering the controls are alien to you (pun intended). 

My highest score so far is eleven, I think it helps to stay above the enemies because then you have an easier time shooting without getting shot, also you can use the tractor beam which is effective when you are higher especially if you zoom  (press d) and are carrying an asteroid or if you wait above an asteroid the enemy is on a collision course with then use the tractor beam while above. You do have to be careful using the tractor beam though because asteroids can be destroyed by other asteroids and they can rise and destroy you like you mention when the tractor beam is used for too long, but to prevent this you can either release spacebar (stop tractor beam) or hold "w" to rise higher before the asteroid is pulled into you. 

You are right i probably should have set the controls differently,  I am getting a lot of comments about them. Maybe the arrow keys for movement and "z" and "x" for weapons would be better default controls

i got addicted to this for a little while, ngl. i thought this submission was really cool. it's got this neat retro feel to it. the controls were a little awkward at first but i didn't really see what the big deal was. nobody said you had to make an easy game lol, the difficulty added to the fun for me. the movement and shooting (both fully automatic and precision) in themselves were fun, but the tractor beam adds a lot of character on top. i think a cool future addition would be additional heart pickups :) i hope you had fun making it, i'm coming back to this one.

Oh man it's frustrating, the game looks so cool but is unplayable for me, why did you choose such weird controls. I'll refrain from rating as the problem may be with me, I just wanted to give this feedback.

Cool little game. The controls were a bit awkward for me because I'm used to S being down, especially when w is up and d is right.
