567 without getting any fuel or shooting as I thought the game didn't have anything besides moving, whoops. The objects being physics objects was a bit wonky, especially when the rocks would only get pushed, not destroyed. A short and sweet retro game.

Developer

Yea, I did it on purpose, because asteroids are to hard for just a rocket to destroy them, but thank you!

I really like top down shoot 'em ups, been playing them since the 90's. I think this game has a lot of potential but I think the hit detection was more than a bit too wide. Other than that, I think it's a fun game.

Thank you!

As people have said here, solid start!  It was a pretty simple game but it met the prompt well.  My only advice would be if you continue this game for future rounds, find something to give it a little razzle-dazzle to help it feel fresh since there are tons of space shooters out there.

Developer

Thanks!

Solid start for a space shooter! I like how the asteroids kind of have a physics to them when you hit them. I wish the enemies didn't just disappear when you shoot them, but other than that, everything feels functional and smooth!

Thank you! Well about the enemies.. uhh.. I guess I kind of had to restart late so I didn’t have alot of time..

i like this style of play. for both visual cues and immersion, i think some sort of background movement that indicated i was moving forward would heavily complement the experience. i made a similar game style for my last game, but w a vast difference thematically, so this was a lot of fun to play :) i had a good time, i hope you had fun making it.

I enjoyed the game, but I felt like, even though I shot all of the ships I could, my fuel was drecreasing

Developer

Well, I think it is kind of a “hard” game. You see multiple ships spawn every second. You need to be very fast. Also I guess it’s good I didn’t make it even harder XD
