The mechanics are there and they are fun. I liked the crafting mini game. Well done!
I love the minigame its real fun, the game itself works but could use some polish. The artstyle is cute and the overall gameplay loop is fun only issues I have is that a few things seem unecesary. The energy part for sleep does not do much besides refilling maybe making trees respawn or smth makes this a necesity. Also crafting being inside of the house maybe if you could place the things you create that would make sense but now the house doesnt feel like it contributes a lot.
All of these things are of course not that hard to fix and for a round 1 you did a very good job. I see you apologizing that the game is unpolished and I just want to say, be proud of what you made over 1000 people joined and only 200 managed to finish and you are one of them. Gamejam entries have a lot of bugs (even mine ) and thats okay.
Gl if i see you in the next round and otherwise gl with the rest of your journey!
Yes, sleep also restores trees, again this should have been written somewhere. I understand everything, but I'm still not sure if it was worth submitting a game that's so buggy, but I didn't know about all the bugs as there was no time to test. So I decided to take the risk and publish it. In any case, it's all good, it's experience, and thank you for the words of support
The crafting mechanic was quite unclear as I kept connecting the lines but for most of the tries it just refused to connect. After crafting whichever wood thing you chose you could still keep drawing even if it probably does nothing. The energy mechanic for some reason resets when you exit the building. In my opinion the cutting part should've stayed on space instead of mouse 1 as it is never explicitly told what to press and space just happened to be the last one.
Cute art style in the few areas that had art, but the gameplay was extremely thin.
Thank you for your feedback! I should explain that in the game you should not connect them but trace/draw the contour while holding the left mouse button (obviously this should have been mentioned), and yes, I agree the game has many flaws
Congrats on managing to make a proper crafting game for a jam. It was cute and enjoyable. There was a bug where bronze axe wasn't doing what it says, it was cutting juniper tree instead, but that doesn't matter. Loved the crafting minigame, inventive.
Thank you, sorry that the game is so raw/unpolished
very interesting overall, the timings of minigames are a bit finicky.
Thank you for playing, I agree with your statement
Two minigames complement each other well, many features and potential things to update in the future. Overall, a good game worth trying out! The only confusing thing was that when cutting trees it told me to press space when I had to press left mouse button, luckily I figured that out before leaving. Good job.
Thank you for your time. Yes, I didn't think that through, like many other things - in a hurry, I didn't finish obvious things.
Well done! It's impressive how much you've implemented in such a short time.
Thank you for the kind words
Hi there!
First of all, congratulations on submitting for GDKO 2025!Your game uses progression based tasks to reward the player really well.
I felt like I was moving forward with every tree I chopped down, and every item of furniture I crafted.
Couple of things:
Thanks a lot, I really enjoyed this game!
Hi, thank you very much for the comment. I know I made many mistakes. Due to being in a hurry, I didn't have time to work on the balance, and I added the tutorial text in the last minutes and didn't notice that it resets every time you exit the house.
