This fits the theme really well and the random swapping mechanic creates just the right amount of chaos! I think the conveyor belts + platforms that you have to throw workers onto made for some interesting strategy where different workers are in charge of different stations. There felt like quite a bit of downtime though (e.g. the top left and top right stations in level 3) since I think it's optimal to just let that worker stay there after they throw the box down. Maybe keeping the same time limit, but increasing conveyor belt speed and upping the boxes required would make it so there's less waiting.
Also, I just realized you're the dev who made WitchWay. Our game jam entry drew inspiration from it and I really enjoyed playing through that game as well!
The concept is great and for the most part it was executed well. I just have a few issues with the controls. Sometimes the boxes get stuck in unexpected way on the geometry. I also found sometimes I would pick something up by accident but the only option is to throw it away. Also, time is important in this game so it is a bit frustrating when the color changer doesn't switch on time because it keeps selecting the same person.
I find the controls of this game to be frustrating, which yeah is out of your control, but there should be ways to minimize that frustration. I can't pick up characters when they are stacked on top of each other, meaning that if the delivery point has two of them stacked up, you need the spinner to hit the guy on top, otherwise you're soft-locked. If a block is on top of an inactive character and the spinner selects that character, you're also stuck. You can't pick up blocks while they're in the air (e.g. falling from a platform lv. 2). I'm just frustrated at the control scheme. Maybe it's me misunderstanding, but I am frustrated. Also missing music/ambiance.
Aside from the rant, visually it looks great. Perhaps the screen can shake when you throw it and it lands? That would put good weight to the boxes!
Very unique mechanic! I could definitely see this as an engaging puzzle game with a few tweaks.
This is an absurdly ell polished game for being made in 48 hours, great job.
Starts out as a cute game but gets annoying after a while as your characters just continue to switch left and right. Five stars for originality though!
There was a bug where the character corpses would sometimes block my path and I couldn't pick them up. None the less, it was a really good mechanic and a fun game overrall. It's really simple but effective. Great job :)
Looks great, challenging and fun idea too!
I did occasionally get stuck on the other characters or platforms when I was carrying a box, but I'm impressed with the quality of the game overall :)
Hey nice game!
The controls feel great, i like that you added a pushing animation and crate variants (not sure if that's just visual or not).
Only criticism i have for you is that it seems you forgot to give the characters a frictionless material so they get stuck in midair when jumping into walls/crates/other characters.
I think that might be one of the best game ideas in the jam ;) There are some bugs(boxes moving out of your hands, character getting stuck if he starts his tour with box on top of him...), but that's quite understandable for that short period of time. I think you could get quite good sales if you finish the game and put it e.g. on steam. I'd look forward to it ;)
