OH man that's one cute bee!! Pretty cool concept, reaaally unforgiving and challenging, Once I got the hang of it it's pretty neat to play. I somewhat escaped the asteroids field and travelled for minutes in open space, it's just so satisfying to be able to trave without hitting stuff. Maybe you can take advange of that feelling through level design, spacing things a bit more or making large open areas. This is really amazing, it's also a one button game which is kind of cool!. Nice job!
very fun game it will be a good mobile game since it only use 1 button
I really liked the aesthetics and simplicity of your game. I'd love to see a fully fleshed out version of this, or something along those lines, where you take the mechanic and expand on it in unique ways OuO I think that could be cool! :)
I really enjoyed the simplicity of the one button gameplay and a nice take on the theme. Great job :)
This Game was fun. One of the best Game Jam games I've Played before!
Really fun game! I enjoyed the duel purpose design of the jet-pack both being movement and the way to get points. The use of the debris felt like genuine in-universe way to slow the bee down some.
If you wanted to continue to build, some sort of tutorial section where I could figure out how to play in game could be nice. Volume sliders would also be nice, I felt like the jet pack was just a little to loud.
Overall fantastic! Good luck with the jam and your future game dev projects!
Oh wow, this was surprisingly fun. I bet this would make a great "one tap" phone game. My girlfriend thought the bees were adorable XD.
Yes, it was frustrating but I like the idea. I felt somthing is missing from the control, don't know, but also, I felt it could be a good game!
I thought this was a really cute, if frustrating game. The visuals are nice, but I feel that the whole "out of control" gimmick leads to more frustration than fun. Also, a weird thing is that when I first saw the yellow wormhole (which looks more like a black hole), my Super Mario Galaxy memories kicked in and I immediately assumed it was a hazard to avoid rather than the goal. But I think this game was pretty good overall.
Collecting the asteroids is far too easy, I'm afraid.
"Too easy" is certainly a first in terms of feedback we've gotten thus far, you must have picked it up pretty fast! In later levels, enemies are introduced which dive bomb and shoot homing missiles at the player–that could prove to be the greater challenge you're looking for 🙂.
Thanks for your feedback!
Curse speed-reading for it has robbed my comment of nuanced understanding *shakes fist angrily towards sky*
Oh. Maybe not speed-reading as much as social ineptitude. *makes "whoosh" gesture above head*
Always start with plan B!
Not sure why, but I was really lagging on this game despite having a pretty good computer oO Must've been some compatibility issue with other stuff I had running or so...
the changing movement direction like this is a really cool idea though. it's tough as heck to control, perhaps starting out with even smaller rocks before scaling up would help at the beginning, but with some practice it's a solid system. Looks decent too with all the space-junk XD
Thank you for your feedback! A feature (that I'd forgotten to document until now) is that running into the patches of small asteroids/"space junk" causes the player to temporarily slow down. Could this be what you're describing?
In any case, our level designer (as well as the rest of us) have learned a valuable lesson in difficulty curves, and ramping up object size is one of those changes we're working on for an updated mobile release. I hope you'll stay tuned!

I just rated your great game! Thank you very much for watching the stream!
I would appreciate it if you could check out my game too!
Love the graphics and effects, especially the black hole one! The game feels super fluid and the gameplay is pretty fun once you get the hang of it. For some reason the jetpack sound stopped playing after I finished the first level (which is fine because it felt a little too loud to me).
Good job on making this game :)
Really neat little game, the out of control mechanic was used well so it didn't feel too frustrating, although it was quite annoying that when the character hit one asteroid they would usually bang into another unless you had very fast reaction speeds. Overall, a fun game with a unique mechanic, great job!
Glad that you liked it! It ia not perfect but we are pretty happy for bringing this together in 48h! stay tuned for an update
I really suck at this game. Something about how you have to switch directions I just can't wrap my head around. Seems really cool, but I can't get very far into it. The way you bounce off the large rocks seems to always cause cascading problems for me.
i am glad you like it, there will be a post gmtk update to fix most of the thingy ypu had issues! thank you for the review!
Really really cool mechanics. While it needs some more polishing, the idea is fantastic and perfectly slides into the "Out of Control" theme. I would make it a bigger game (better onboarding/easier levels are important IMHO).
Thanks! Yeah, I kinda went nuts with the level design. That was my bad. Lol. But, we do plan on working on this game a lot more! Including a good amount of easier levels to ease the player into the mechanics better. However, I still plan on making larger, more elaborate levels for those that can make it far enough. Muahaha!
Thanks again for the feedback and for playing our game!!
Great job on this entry, I hope you keep developing it! Thanks for submitting this to my live stream.
We definitely plan to!
Thanks for having having us and for trying out our game!
Really enjoyed the art! The movement is cool and interesting, kept me engaged for a while! Good job!
Thanks! Yeah, our 3D artist and programmer were def the MVPs of this project!
Thanks for playing our game!
I really like the main movement option, though I think there were a couple of things preventing it from shining; the close camera and the slowdowns near debris; the first makes it hard to make sure you're not running into asteroids, the second makes it harder to get the timing right. A quick way to reset the level would have also been a nice addition, since if you have a bad start of the level you would probably prefer to start again from the beginning.
I liked the art and the sound effects! The bee was very cute. I would've liked some music, but I'm personally biased towards music, though I think some good music (even if it's from opengameart) can make retrying the same level dozens of times a much more fun experience.
I think you have a very solid foundation for a hard game that feels amazing when you get good at it. The core idea is great! Great teamwork!
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback! Very in-depth. Lol.
A couple things I wanted to see to help with difficulty was, not only moving the camera back, but also reducing the player's speed. When you run into stuff, you run into more things pretty fast. I'm mixed on the debris, however. Because, while I agree, the debris does mess with the timing and can harm you, I've also seen it save me from crashing into more dangerous things at times.
We didn't get around to adding in the audio until pretty late in the Jam. I was working on some music. But, I didn't have it close to being ready to put in the game by the time the Jam came to a close. I was too focused on accidentally making all the levels too hard. Lol. But, I agree. Having a dope soundtrack is definitely going to be something we work towards!
I appreciate all the kind words! Thanks again for the feedback and for playing our game!
