My heart, this game is adorable! The art is excellent, the gameplay is really fun and the design is incredibly clever. Excellent work! The music and sound are pretty fantastic too!

Really excellent game all around. The sounds were great, the music was great, the art was adorable, the puzzles were fun, ~  Do check mine and give your valueable feedback:D

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The music was by my teammate megasupy
And yes I plan to rate people who rate me

This was quite fun to traverse through. I really enjoy having such limited actions with the two characters because it made it feel they truly needed each other; versus mirroring or copying each other. I do think the difficult curve could maybe increase just a tad faster, but otherwise enjoyed playing it!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! it really does help

This was a pleasant little puzzle game that didn't overstay its welcome with way more levels than was needed. The puzzles were all really interesting due to the limitations of the character movement, and the art style is really light and happy :)

Your levels are also nice and short, which is very nice when having to restart a few times lol

It would be cool to see what else you could've done with that side spring, but I think it's good that you left me kinda wanting more, ya know? You made a cool puzzler and that's pretty nifty!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for all your feedback! I'm glad the short levels worked for you
me and my teammate have been thinking about making more levels so we'll have to keep the side spring in mind when making them
Thanks for playing!

This was a really nice game! I think you introduced all of the mechanics super well and maybe could have even fit some more challenging levels in between each of the new mechanics, to really test the player's problem-solving abilities! I think this would have really made the pace much more interesting. The game overall was super charming though, great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback and I totally agree there could have been more levels to test the player
Thanks for playing!

I was really glad to see you joined the jam and your entry was fantastic. This was the type of game I was hoping to see in the submissions. The platform puzzle game genre is always fun to me and the cute and cohesive art style really flowed with the game play. The puzzles weren't too simple or too hard which striking a balance is impressive. The only real complaint I had was the game was too short. Which is a good complaint to have since it shows I wanted to play more of it! The music in the game was beautifully done as well.

For the first impressions look at this game, they can be found here:

What a clever idea, really enjoyed the mechanic and puzzles you put in this game. I only came across one issue, if the red character lands right on the end of the moving platform, it cant jump and I had to restart that particular level. I also really enjoyed the art and music, great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and giving your feedback
sorry about the issue you ran into I'll try and fix it after the jam ends

Submitted(+1)

I did it!
Really excellent game all around. The sounds were great, the music was great, the art was adorable, the puzzles were fun, really everything about this game created a super pleasant aesthetic, and it was just a super enjoyable experience.
Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for all your kind words all of this really means a lot to me
And I agree the music is great my teammate megasupy made it

This one is great. We had a similar idea, with multiple controllable characters, one of whom can't jump, and needs the help of the one that can to get places. The puzzles and levels are all fun, I just wish there were more, I'd love to see more of this gameplay. I really liked the music(and minor point, unlike a lot of games I've seen this jam, it doesn't default to being insanely loud, which is a plus) and the art is on point. I especially like the little cigar that the papa slime has. All in all a really good entry.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! yeah me and my teammate have been wanting to make more as well

I love the concept. Good job at designing the mechanics and puzzles. I also love the artstyle so much. My favourite game this far ^^

Developer

Thank you sooo much for this comment it really means a lot to me

I really liked it! Not only the art is cute, but  eventhough the idea behing the game is quite simple, it is very interesting! Also, the puzzles get more difficult in a really enjoyable rate. Great work!

Developer

Really glad you liked it thanks for playing

Submitted(+1)

Really enjoyed those puzzles, the art and music is really nice, and the mechanic is very original, but doesn't really fit the theme in my opinion. Despite that a really fun game overall, good job

Developer

Thanks for playing! and for the feedback

Sorry about the windows file not working properly just rename the "Family Gathering" folder to "Family Gathering_Data"

sadly I cannot reupload files but hopefully this works

Submitted(+1)

I loved the art and the puzzles were all reasonably interesting to get through. I was looking for someone who implemented a split control scheme like this, and you did it very well! The music was a nice touch, and the character designs were really cool. Awesome job!

Developer

Thanks for playing it and for the kind words

Very short but very sweet and cute!

Everything feels well thought through, and it's a solid base for a great puzzle game with lots of levels and mechanics. Great work

edit: for those that can't make it work - rename "Family Gathering" folder to "Family Gathering_Data" and it should do the trick

Developer

Thanks for playing!

The music and art are super nice to listen to and look at.

Developer

Thank you! my teammate "megasupy" made the music

(1 edit) (+1)

It's not running. It says it's missing the folder "Falimy Gathering_data". (Windows version)

Submitted(+1)

It works when you rename the "Family Gathering" folder to "Family Gathering_Data"

Submitted(+1)

You are right. We renamed the folder "Family Gathering" to  "Family Gathering_Data" and it worked. Was short but fun.

Developer (1 edit)

sorry about this just rename the file to "Family Gathering_Data" instead of just "Family Gathering"
