The adaptative music is great, and the puzzles are pretty well designed, even if someone felt too automatic (understandable with the 48h time frame). Great work!
Yeah, I ran out of ideas for the puzzles. Thanks for playing!
At the end, all I felt was "I want more." Not a lot of entries have made me feel like that. Such a fun game that constantly has you entertained with puzzles and thinking, and above all, a really fun beat. Great job!
Thank you! I wanted to make more levels but I ran out of ideas.
Like the other guy, I can solve the puzzle easily, but I spend my time jamming to the beat! Hahah, that's so creative how each movement having the beat sound! The only thing I would suggest (apart from UI and more levels) is that perhaps the block that we control should have a mark, maybe different color or something. Well done for this project!
Yeah true! I was gonna add a shade to it, along with kind of a pulsing effect, but I was nervous about the deadline and submitted way earlier.. Thanks for playing!
Nice game :) Quite slow feeling controls but cool game :)
Yeah, that was one of my concerns for this game. I tried to interpolate to make it less obvious, but that doesn't cover it up completely.. I guess I need to add more instantaneous feedback next time. Thanks for the review!
This is one of my faves from the jam so far :D that clap is so satisfying. Really fun to just move around randomly to the rhythm. Would be awesome with more content and tunes! Thanks!
Thanks! A lot of people say they like to move to the beat, which is pretty surprising to me, because I made that beat under an hour haha. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
This mega rocked, had some fun puzzles, and I was bumping along the whole time. Great Job!!!
Thank you!!
Mad respect for having the guts to make a rhythm game in 48 hours and pulling it off effortlessly. I've had the music stuck in my head for an hour now, which I think is a sign of a job well done!
Thanks!
This was so fun! Made you think what your next move should be. I also like the beat happening every time with each move.
Great game, would recommend!
Thank you!
I loved this game!! The dynamic soundtrack is utterly wonderful and half the time i would just move randomly along with the beat so that i could drum along to it! If this had more levels and was less GMTK-themed you could release it on Steam!
Thanks! the code is too dirty to develop on it though haha
Hah, I know how that feels, if I tried to add anything else to my game I think it would just fall to pieces on the spot.
This is anything but generic! Cool and interesting concepts with puzzles that make you think, presented in a way that's just oozing with style. Awesome work!
Thank you! (Your game was really fun to play too! One of my favorites this jam.)
Very cool mechanic with a nice aesthetic, the puzzles really make you think. Only thing that I could think of for feedback would be to perhaps allow the player to hold down the keys to move a bit quicker as opposed to needing to press it each time. Great job overall!
Yeah, I did do that (holding down keys), but it lead to more issues, so I removed it. Thanks for the feedback!
Very nice puzzle game, good job!
Thank you!
Awesome game! Just finished all the levels. The beat and the music are super satisfying and made me feel better when I got stuck on some levels. Well done!
Puzzles are all very interesting and engaging, but the difficulty curve is steep at some levels. From my point of view, level 3(choose 3 blocks among many blocks),6, and 8(connect all the 6 blocks into a 2*3 rectangle in correct order to pass the obstacle) are the most difficult ones. Other levels, especially the last two levels, are much easier than these three. In general, I expect there would be a super difficult brain twister in the last level, but instead I easily passed the last one.
Anyway, this is a very good game made in 48 hours. Well done overall!
Thank you!!
exactly what I expected, but solid levels and better than every other puzzle game for the jam
Thank you!
The music is soooo satisfying! I love how the movement affect the music, I was just jamming around pretending like I was a DJ and it was so much fun! The puzzle is actually engaging and feels so good when you get a better beat going on! <3
Thanks! The music was a random thought that occurred while developing. My main inspiration was Helltaker.
Very nice! I love how the movement and the music are synced. I spend a couple minutes just making beats lol and even in later stages I couldn't help but make the blocks dance :) Well done!
I think the biggest opportunity is the difficult curve/ teaching the player at a more steady pace. Some levels are just mindless fun, but a couple are real brain twisters.
1 idea to consider is changing the colors of the live blocks, I think it'd be a neat touch and would help that moment at the start of a level where the player has no idea which block they'll move until they move it.
Overall very well done! Good job! And congratz on your first jam, it's a great entry!
Thanks! Next time I'll try some more level design!
Also, I was considering more stuff with blocks, but I ran out of time :(
Yeah 48hrs is not enough time :(
I love how the music comes out! It is SUPER DOPE!
It will be much more greater if something like this doesn't happen...
Like, ignoring the arms in specific situations.
But it's just my personal opinion. I enjoyed this game!
ah, that was kinda intentional.. i purposely ignored it, thinking that'd make things more intuitive.. thanks for the advice!
Awesome game! LOVE the movement being synced to the beat - SUPER satisfying and sounds amazing!
one nitpick would be that the difficulty spikes massively in level three. I couldn't figure out the solution at all, probably just because my brain small lol. very nice game overall though!
spoilers: just obtain the bottom left and top right one
thanks for playing!
nice puzzles too
EPIC SOUNDS
thanks
