Love the spooky atmosphere you achieve with the sound and visuals. Controlling two objects with different controls is a bit tough for me personally, but the checkpoints are placed well. The level design is on point and you let the player learn new mechanics in a clever way. Well done!
I really enjoyed playing your game! It's a genius idea to separate the roles of 2 characters in that way!
I found a lot of games with the "control 2 characters" mechanic, but this one is actually special.
This light and hand mechanic is good.
It feels... right. I mean, it's just RIGHT how it was done. That's why 5 stars. Good job!
I will wait for extra levels :P
Definitely a strange idea. The only thing I can think of to improve the game were if you added music, but otherwise an interesting platforming game. Good job!
Ohh I love the fact that they have different collision shapes, and the ambiance, that's cool ! Love it
I think this is a very clever concept.
I love your art style and this combined with these scene transitions really make a scary atmosphere. I especially like this idea, that the eye and the hand have different hitboxes so that the one can only go there and the other one has to take the log way.
Another strong point of your game is that you introduced the two unique abilities step by step so I had no problems following along, even after the throwing thing.
I find it very nice that you included checkpoints because otherwise it would be very tilting to start a big level every time from the beginning.
All in all a very unique concept and very good work! Nothing to criticize.
This is a really cool concept and well implemented. The only issue i saw was that i couldnt really distinguish the dimensions of the eye and hand and which way they would fit so i had to test that.
Other than that it's a really lovely game! Good Job!
Interesting game, Reallly like the art style that you used for the game. Keep up the great work
Just wow. Cool art design and idea. I loved the game mechanics - learning more and more stuff thru the whole game. Super cool both start and end of the game.
Thank you.
I put a lot of effort into making it being enjoying through out the game. Glad it was well received.
great tutorialization, use of checkpoints and spooky vibes! I finished the levels and you finished a polished game!
This aesthetic is so amazing! Its dark and foreboding and the game mechanics make for interesting and enjoyable play :D A well designed and polished submission!
Thank you.
It warms my heart the game was well received.
Very nice level design! Someone watched Mark's videos on level design and it shows :P
Thank you.
Teaching the mechanics with the level design was a high priority for me. Happy to hear it was well received.
I liked the unique art style and the cool puzzle mechanics. The level design was also greatly balanced with introducing new stuff and difficulty to keep things interesting.
I really like this one, great job!
wow, you really ran with the mechanic. I love that it seemed like at every level I was learning something new
This was so cool! I absolutely love the art design. The mechanics were fun as well, especially when the finger stand and eye light extender (that’s what I’m calling them) were introduced. Great level design and platforming! I hope you keep working on this post-jam. I’d love to see it as a full game someday.
Thank you.
I am happy to hear you enjoyed it. I do not believe I’ll continue on the game afterwards (GM2 license expired) but I might reconsider.
loved the audio- n visual design!
one of my favourite games from this jam ✿
Thank you. Lovely to hear it was well received.
Great job! I like how the game is built on a grid but the grid is based on quarter-units which lets you be more expressive with the level design. Really smooth to run, the static-y aesthetic was lovely.
Love the aesthetic and the interactions between the hand and the eye with the super jump you can do. Good job! I also love any game that closes itself when it's done.
Really cool game! We had a similar thing in mind with the light and movement connected, it was cool playing your take on on it.
Really liked the way the eye can go sideways and the hand is narrow, really clever.
Well done!
Thank you.
Nice to hear that that mechanic was appreciated.
One of the best submissions in the jam, it expands right when it gets boring, it doesn't infuriate you like most puzzle games do to you when your stuck. Its a really clever mechanic that you have in this game that expands in ways that makes sense. My only critism is that when you quit the game and join again, it doesn't save your progress. But still amazing, I hope you make it into the video!
Thank you.
I am happy the game never felt stale. I really tried to making the progress of mechanics feel natural. For the scope for such a short game I felt a level save state was a bit overkill. I hope it did not bother you too much.
No it the save state really helps a lot! It was a thing I wanted to add to what I said but there's so much good things about it. The save state really helps especially for someone like me, who sucks a puzzle games.
